Yea I wish that was me. Last time I couldn't call in until almost 8 because I had to drive to work first.

OMG, a whole hour after it opened. I be doing 80 miles hour to get to work but my boss won't appreciate me being on the phone for something like this. She just doesn't understand how important free dining is.

I don't understand some of these room category. But even if I have to move up to garden view its still a great discount.

Preferred just guarantees me a spot in AB (not a fan of mansions) and its close to the main building. It's DH's first time so I want everything to be perfectly convenient! :rotf: But mostly I just want to be in AB. But Id gladly give up that room category for FD, after all ill still be at POR!

This will be my first time at POR. I know there are no elevators in AB and my mom needs a ECV and does not want to be on the first floor so the mansion are where we need to be. I know she would rather be on the top floor corner room but I'll be happy anywhere. Right now we have a standard room with roll in shower not sure which mansion that would be.

You would be in Acadian or Magnolia....there is a POR Thread here, I'm not sure how to link it. Also if you go to www.portorleans.org it gives you great info! There is a special needs line, did you call to make sure you get a mansion because of your needs?

Not yet but i have been over on POR thread and there is a room request form you can fax a couple of weeks before you go. So I have that ready. I don't mind how far I'll have to walk to get to the main building. Once this fd finally happens I'll be able to concentrate on the resort. I still need to make a ress for the dessert party.

Ill be breaking the law. Work at 9 so ill get up an hour earlier to be on the road by 7 to call.

Hour drive to work hope its enough time to split the ressie and get FD for 7 of 9 days and maybe a RO discount for the others.

Either way i'll call till I get someone.....last trip cost went down 1500.00

Is it best to hold or call back if you do not get someone in a reasonable time?

Alot of people held on and waited 40 min to an hour to get a cm during the free dining promo in September. I hope it won't be that long for anyone but it could happen. Fd only saves me about five hundred dollars the ro discount would be less for me at that resort so I'll take the fd

I have crunched all the number and for us the FD will save our party of 5 around $1200. I have booked offsite for the first few days so we can do Universal and Kennedy before being totally submerged in the World. This is our first trip and we are all so excited.

Those are the EXACT same dates we will be there too!! We stayed at POP this past June, this October we are trying out AOA.

It depends on the ages involved. If your 5th person is 2 or under, they could put you in a room meant for 4+infant.

This may be a dumb question but does DV card members get notification prior to the release date. I have never booked on the day a discount is released before but was lucky to get them during both previous trips thanks to the CM telling me about them.
Also what time should I call on the day it is released? Should I call before the lines open or right at 6 central?
