Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

If I go to Disney site and price out trip without dining that should be our price with free dining, right?

Anyone know how much Disney charges to upgrade dining from quick to regular? For adult and child?

Thank you for the updates! :thumbsup2

Question: I already have a trip booked at the Coronado for November 14-23. It's for a Room and Ticket package. How would i go about changing that to a free dining promotion package? I made the reservations on my own.

Thanks for the help!

Just call when the free dining offer is released and they can add it to your reservation.

Yes to first question.;)

And, around $19 for adults and $3-4 for children per day. The rates fluctuate a bit depending on time of year, holidays, etc.:)

A couple of weeks ago I changed my ress dates to 11/11-11/17 with the plans of doing a room only reservation on the 10th. I would be willing to stay anywhere on property for that one night but would find it easier to stay at the resort we have booked(POR) at this time we are booked in a standard room/wheelchair assesable with rollin shower. I'm waiting to book this just in case a ro discount comes out but when I go on the disney site I can't seem to find this room category. I'm I probably going to have to call to make this ress,or am I just not reading it correctly?

I am not doubting the dates here because they are usually pretty accurate but I find it hard to believe the WDW would offer FD until 12/22. Two years ago they offered it until 12/17 and quickly pulled it back to end on 12/15 because it was crossing into Christmas territory and they know they will already be booked then. The way this stands a person could check in 12/22 and have free dining throughout Christmas and New Years.

A dream come true but we will have to wait and see.

Thanks. I just called again. No offer, but it sure brought on the tears again. Do you specifically ask for pixie dust? Or will that be a sure-fire no? I guess I could call and tell them my big long spill, but would it do any good?

Just a note on my situation.. You might be able to do something similar.. We thought we were in a place where we just couldn't go unless free dining was offered. But after a lot of research and number crunching, I discovered that we could stay offsite (in a condo I found on vrbo.com) just a few miles from the main gate, keep ALL of our ADRs, and just buy park tickets for almost the exact same price as staying on property with free dining. I even factored in the daily parking fee. The only catch to that is we are going with friends and so we could split the offsite condo price with them. BUT there are a lot of reasonably priced properties out there in close proximity of Disney. I know it's not the same as being on property but maybe something to check into.
Fingers crossed that your dates will show up in the public offer!

Usually online when you go through the steps to make a ressie, I think at the beginning, it will ask you if you need an accessible room. I will check online...hold on.;)

Yep, when I clicked on to search for a room, where they ask for # people, resort preference, etc., there was a box to check that said "accessible" and those rooms popped up on my search. : )

Quick question, does your entire party need to be there on your arrival date for free dining?
Some of my children have mandatory testing on Oct 2 & 3rd so I was thinking of splitting the group and have half arrive on the 2nd with one parent and the rest on the 3rd with the other parent.
I know it seems like a lot of hassle but my daughter's 16th birthday is the 5th so the time frame can't be moved by much and it seems a shame to be so close to the free dining dates and not take advantage of it.

We have on numerous occasions (at least 3 our of our last 5 trips) been asked if EVERYONE is present. I usually have my husband and children wait in the lobby while I check in.....but I've had to have them come up to the desk at check in before, maybe we just have that look about us LOL that says 'I invented 5 kids just to get some extra dining credits and pay for 2 rooms' LOL

Thanks, I went through all the promps but don't see " roll in shower" I'll be back in just a minute.( got to move around because my butt starting to fall asleep from sitting in one spot reading these threads:rotfl2:)

Repeating my question from yesterday. Should I cancel my reservation that I put in yesterday for one of the November weeks so it doesn't count against the Disney numbers? I don't want to mess up the free dining possibility. :confused3

Which week did you put in. If you were planning on going that particular week anyway it shouldn't matter. And I don't think your one ress is going to make or break the fd promo.

Thank you! We are checking in on the 23 of November.

If this is true, these dates will cover the week of Halloween, the week of Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas-free dining for all three holidays. That just doesn't make sense to me.

Touring Plans and Easywdw also has most of these dates way, way busier than the first week of December.

After checking around today, there is very limited availability for Moderate to Deluxe resorts and Villas, if any for these dates.

I'm not buying these dates so close to all the busiest times of the year when it's filled to capacity. No way. At least, I hope not.

lol...Dis can be hazardous to one's self and to getting no work done...lol.

When the search window pops up to ask dates, #people, resort choice, etc., there is a box and the word "accessible" in the far left hand upper corner, click to check that box and then hit search. It will search and list all the accessible rooms; the roll-in shower is just one option of several.:thumbsup2

Wondering if anyone can offer their opinions. I already booked months ago a stay at AoA and I included the regular dining plan. I was going to switch it once FD was released to stay at the Poly and it would increase the amount of the trip by a few hundred $.. If I did a split stay changing plans all together my Amt would be the same as what I'm paying now including the poly and AoA or a little less with a split at poly and Por...

What would u do??? :)

Poly and POR.

After seeing this post last night and crying til falling asleep, then tossing, turning, and waking up constantly with my brain going crazy with "What are we going to do!!" I called Disney this morning.

We are scheduled for the 1st week of Dec. Arriving Nov 30th and leaving on Dec 7. (This is my 32nd b-day, my hubs 34th bday, and our 14th anniversary. Yeah, we have a week of craziness every year.)

Upon booking the cm said she had worked with Disney for over 30 yrs, etc etc and to be sure to check back for free dining dates since it consistently is offered that week.

The CM this morning said that no dates have been released and not to worry???

I'm so confused.

I know that I cannot pay $4420 plus MVMCP tickets for this vacation. (Not including airfare.) I was expecting $2,777 and for that we have been putting $67 a week into a "Disney" envelope since January. When you see the money going towards it each week and you realize how hard you are working and then the countless hours spent on trip planning and then it can all be swept away...serious depression here. Vacation is supposed to be fun and exciting. Now I face the possibility of having to cancel our trip and OMG what about the plane tickets we've already bought? While everyone was at the beach this summer and going to different places we have been home, squirreling away every dollar and it's not going to be enough after all.

Please tell me this is a bad dream.

I feel the same way. I did all ADR assuming that the first week of December been included in FD in previous years. I don't know what to do. If moving the stay for later but I don't want to have huge crowd that arrive for Christmas and the week before. Confuse :(

If you get any news about this week please share it. Let see if some pixie dust happen for us. Best wishes.

Question from a newbie- we're booked for the Contemporary in a Bay Lake Tower room from 9/30-10/5 through AAA. How do we calculate if Free Dining or 30% Room Only discount is better? We saved $300 with AAA versus the posted Disney package rates when we initially booked.

If I use the Disney site as a guide, it looks like the 30% off Room will save us more money, but I'm not sure if that will change the ticket prices or dining plan prices.

I want to be able to talk to our travel agent and give her the exact info she'll need to change our package if necessary on August 1st.

Thanks- this board has been a huge source of info and incredibly helpful in planning our first trip.

Normally, a room discount for deluxe save more money than FD .

My PIN had 12/5-12/14 blacked out. Why would the GP offer have less blacked out?

The GP offer added a few dates and took away several dates. This is typical. They see what/where/when they need to fill once the pins get booked, and then they create the needed offer for the public.
