Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

If I have a package through AAA that I got before the price increases, will adding FD bump the price up? The room/ticket package I reserved is about $200 less than it would be to reserve now. FD will still save me money either way, but I'm curious as I price things out.

Technically the ticket price increase would be applied when a change is made, however you might get Pixie Dusted because someone reported a week or two ago on here that they received some. Good luck!

Getting excited for tomorrow morning, but have a question... Do we (Disney Visa cardholders) have to wait for the offer to be up on the Chase website, or will it automatically be available in the Disney system first thing at 7 a.m. when we all start calling?? :confused3

Thank you for any insight!!

Christine

Nope, you don't have to wait, you can call at 7 am. However some CMs will have read their morning email and others may have not. If you get the one who has not, just ask them to please check their messages and/or ask their supervisor. Good luck. Folks will also start posting on here shortly after 7 that the deal is live and they are booking.

Thanks! I can sleep tonight. The only thing that worries me is splitting up the family in two flights. The last time we tried this my family was already in Florida, and I was flying in when 911 happened. I only made it as far as New Orleans. But I couldn't complain considering....

Excited about the potential for a discount! We check into a 1 bedroom at WL on Dec. 11-on a friend's DVC points. Saying for 5 nights. To get dining can you be on "borrowed" points? Also, if the first day of FD is the 12th and we are checking in on the 11th will we get dining from the 12th on?

Thanks Disers!

DVC point stays are not eligible for FD. A requirement for FD is paying rack rate for your room, which you are not doing by using points. You can purchase a dining plan if you want to, though, but the owner of the points will have to set it up and payment is due in full at the time you add it.

Hi Everyone! First time post and wanted to tell you all how amazing and wonderful you are! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! I have learned so much from all of you. I skimmed the entire thread and don't think I saw an answer for my question...if there is and this is redundant... I sincerely apologize. I know y'all get a lot of that... here goes..

I have a res for POP during November free dining times, I have dining (upgrade) added already. Whole thing will be paid off when free dining is added to res (did the math and hoped and prayed). I do not have my Disney Visa associated with the reservation and the Disney Visa I have is the debit visa. Will they still let me add the free dining on the res tomorrow at 6am (for me, cts) or will I have to get a refund and use my Disney visa debit? Does the debit have the same early access or will I have to wait till it's open to the general public?

Again, thanks in advance! Y'all are MAGICAL!

You can use the Disney debit in the same way as the credit card. You will have to put $200 on the card for a deposit. If there is an overpayment they will refund your original card.

:welcome:

They will either just verify that you have a Disney debit or they will refund you $200 of your final paid amount and ask you to repay that amount using the Visa debit. Visa debit holders DO get the early access. Good luck! :goodvibes

Thanks for the quick reply:-) Just out of curiosity, if paying rack can you get both the room discount and FD?

You have to have at least a $200 deposit paid with your Disney visa. And yes, you can be up and on the phone at 7:00 (6:00) tomorrow and getting FD :)

Edit: sorry...a couple quick responses while I was typing lol

If you got a room discount, you would STILL not be paying full price for the room which is a requirement for getting FD. ;) One discount per reservation. Disney does not allow stacking of their discounts, nor stacking with a discount such as AAA.

Alright everyone, good luck tomorrow and I hope all your Disney dining dreams come true!!! See ya then!

Everyone is probably in bed by now, but if not, anyone know if we can use my Disney Visa card to make a $200 payment on my families 2 prebooked reservations and get them the discount tomorrow? Or do they have to be somehow booked under my name to get three with 1 card? Our reservations are linked.

Sorry I have not been on all weekend! Crazy life is still crazy! Spent the entire day out in the heat of the garage still sorting through all the stuff we had to take after my FIL passed....

Just wanted to say this;

1. Good luck and Pixie dust to all tomorrow.
2. Don't stress too much , keep it fun and you will live longer!
3. Enjoy the moment!
4. Should you not get exactly what you want , fret not! It will still be a magical trip!
5. Last year i was 3 days late calling and still got exactly what i was looking for!

Big thanks to Black and Smitch for answering (and re-answering) the questions on this mega thread...lets hope the rumors are true!

Off to Disney dreamland, to wake and get on the phone.

Post with my story tomorrow!

Good luck all you Disney Visa holders! I can't wait to get on here tomorrow and hopefully see lots of happy posts from you guys! I'll be up bright and early later this week hopefully booking it :thumbsup2
