I'm blown away at all y'all that have TAs that haven't even touched based. I contacted ALL my clients that fell within that time frame and gave them a "heads up" that it was a possibility. I will be on hold for Disney I'm sure for hours tomorrow..all with a smile on my face! If you aren't getting the same service, find yourself another TA. Those ones give us ALL a bad name. My family is going on a free pin in Dec (1st week that was suppose to be slow but now seems like it's going to be CRAZY busy :/) but I hope that y'all are clouded in Pixie Dust tomorrow :goodvibes

Right? I love my TA. She has let me know important dates far ahead, and let me know tonight for sure that I need to check my email for an important update in the morning that will make me happy :)

I love happy emails that cut $1778.88 off my bill.

My trip is already paid off so I'm assuming my TA will have to get me my FD. Anyone know if I can do it myself?

I'm considering making an entirely new reservation on my own, and then canceling it if my TA gets me what I want. But just in case, try to get one myself.
Is the one you made cancellable? I don't believe you can do anything to the reservation a TA has made. I've read here they "own" the reservation, not you, so you can't change anything on it.

I just made my husband pretend to call Disney and threw him for every loop I could think of in prep for tomorrow's call! He thinks I'm crazy, but he knows what to say! Hope everyone gets happy news in the morning!!

:rotfl2:

Just when I thought I had all my bases covered by knowing rates for every resort and type of room, availability, rumored discount by resort, and putting everything on paper I read this....

Test run under pressure... I hadn't thought of that.

That is awesome!

No your TA "owns" your reservation, you won't be able to make any adjustments or changes on it without her/him.

Nope, only your TA can make any changes. If I'm not mistaken, the CM's can't even see your reservation details if it was booked by a TA. (I could be horribly wrong about that, but I thought I read that somewhere)

im going to post this here since Im sure everyone is awake and on this thread waiting for 7am :lmao: so I have had yet another bump in the road!! When my husband showed up to work tonight he had an email stating that at the end of august he will be with out a job!:scared::sad: So im trying to figure out what we can do! as of right now we are booked at the POLY and hopefully be getting free dining tomorrow! But I want a backup plan if my husband is unable to find a job. Would my TA be able to book a second reservation for us at wilderness lodge and hopefully get us the 30% off tomorrow and keep our poly reservation in case? then would I be able to transfer the 200 deposit over to the poly reservation when he gets another job (staying positive::yes::) TIA

Anyone feel like this is the night before Black Friday? Only I am planning on spending a lot more tomorrow than I do that day. ;)

Honestly if I were you (if you're before your 45 day mark) I would call myself in the morning and make a new reservation, and put down the 200 dollars. Then I would call my TA and tell her to cancel and get all your money refunded, and use that to pay the reservation you made yourself. 2 weeks and 4 unreturned emails (if im thinking of the right person?) with no contact is a deal breaker!

Gonna try and make it till 12 am and see if any of the web pages change then off to bed 7 am is slowly approaching... Good luck to all in the am

That is great!!:) Although I am married to a very smart man...he doesn't care enough about this Disney stuff to keep it all straight. We would end up at the Holiday Inn in Tampa..:lmao::lmao: But probably a continental breakfast though.:thumbsup2

He is more thrilled I found these boards and you people more than I am....:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Anyone else considering making their own reservations tomorrow just in case their travel agent doesn't come through?!!

Nope. I'm placing all my trust in mine to handle it for me. I will be anxious to see what she's able to do, considering I am not flexible with dates or resorts, but I'm confident that she'll exhaust every possibility for me.

Sounds just like my DH, as long as the continental breakfast is free. :lmao:

I thought she was just switching from one to another...I must have read it wrong. :thumbsup2 Maybe she would get lucky and they still won't charge her ahead? Who knows with all the craziness :)

Yep, I was trying to find out what would happen to my ADR's that are pay in full, if we went with RO and dropped DP all together. Thank you so much for the information. :thumbsup2

No she has contacted me but only after I send her an email or if she is reminding me about purchasing party tickets.

I should just settle down and go to bed! Reading all these posts is just making me nervous. I have no reason not to trust my TA so I will just do that. That's why I booked through her in the first place -- so I didn't have to stress the early calls and all, right!?!

Oh ok I mixed you up with another person, I apologize! I would email her tonight then and remind her that you are definitely wanting FD and eagerly await her email in the morning confirming that she called and got it for you haha!

Maybe no one saw my post or maybe no one knows for sure but, if I have an existing MYWP with tix and resort (Pop), do I need to call or can I add FD online? I have never booked a trip before this so I don't know :-)

You must call to modify an existing reservation.
