Plan B: POR (maybe RGR but will probably take any room category)
Plan C: CSR (not excited about this one)

If none of the above are available you will find me in a padded room

That is why I have decided to stop reading. I can't even come close to keeping up here, and I had a ton to do. Got most of it done now and opened up to MANY new pages. Like everyone else on here, I can't concentrate on anything today so I am stalking the Internet and Facebook looking for info. Several of the TA's I follow on Facebook have alluded to the fact that the dates are slightly off from the "rumors currently circulating". Just curious if anyone else has heard this. We are currently booked to check in October 5, but I have given my TA permission to adjust to check in as early as October 2nd if needed for free dining. She has confirmed that she will be changing my reservation to free dining tomorrow, but that is all I know right now. The waiting is killing me. I hope I know within 24 hours or I will pass out from lack of oxygen. Sounds like tomorrow will be a killer day for people calling! Good luck to all.

hmmmmmmm, maybe some more folks need to call and see what the CM says. If it is for DV then Disney Visa and Disney better get the news out there so that a whole bunch of extra people aren't tying up the phone lines tomorrow

I have lurked on these boards for years and have never been as excited for a thread as this one! So excited it has prompted me to post!

I have a travel agent that is very good and will be on the phone first thing tomorrow for me. I used a travel agent this time because there are eight of us going and I thought it would be easier for her to do all the changes. Plus I didn't want to have to get up at 4:00, although I doubt I will be able to sleep!

We are currently booked at POP and were going regardless of any discounts being offered. (this trip has been in the works for over a year!) Now that there is a possibility that we can upgrade to Port Orleans Riverside and stay on budget, I am beyond excited! This trip is for my 50th birthday and the fact all three of my adult sons are able to go is amazing. If I get Riverside, this will be one of the most perfect birthday trips ever!

Thanks to all that have provided valuable information that has helped me be specific with what I want to my travel agent. You all are GREAT!!!

That's so true, not everyone is looking to book the same days. Soooo....Who's going Oct 19-26 and wanting POR? If it's alot, I'm going to call dibs on a nice chase lounge on Ol' Man Island, LOL

Have not thought about second choice because there are only 2, ( we like monorail resorts)
And if GF is off the table, not sure I would switch to Contemporary.... Maybe just RD then.

I have followed these threads for weeks and was all set with my choice of POFQ for 10/17-10/27. Now with the potential exclusion not sure what to do. We are almost paid off so we could just stay where we are but saving a bit wouldn't be bad either. Looking at POR- I am seeing the mansions as preferred- is a Royal Room in that section and just how far is it from everything? Our first and only stay was at POFQ and boy were we spoiled!

Which TA's? I've seen a couple (non-TA's) posting the same exact dates as in the OP.

I hear it's for GP, but l have a sneaky suspicion that it may be for DV members tomorrow because I called today and was going to upgrade my room at POR to Preferred or River room and they told me their system was down. I asked do I need to call back later today or tomorrow, and she said are you a DV member? I said yes, and she said I would recommend you call back tomorrow. You might see a new offer.

I just got an email from a TA saying the same thing. Hmmm, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Hope we don't lose any dates.

well thought I would try one more time to apply one of my PINS to my current reservations. CM was very nice but laughed when i told him Nemo suite. I said I know it’s a long shot. then told me nemo was very popular and never have trouble filling it. so i said wellllll what if FD becomes available in the near future did he think AoA would get some of those allotted rooms. Said best advise i can give would be to call back another day and see if there is availability and not all rumors you hear are correct.... whatever that means

Thank you. That is really my biggest concern, if it weren't for that I wouldn't care which resort I was at as long as I was at Disney.
But with his health he only has about 3-4 hours a day where he has the energy to be up and about ( his heart only functions at 10-15%), add to that the balance issues, the mobility issues and now the vision problems due to retinal bleed it would be sooo much better for us to be at FQ- both size wise and the fact he is very familiar with the set up of it and can easily navigate it on his own.
