That's odd! What are your dates and where are you looking to stay. Maybe the website is down for "maintenance" (ie, loading the discounts for tomorrow).

If we don't get a suite but opt for getting two rooms instead what are our odds of getting two connecting rooms?

We stayed at a fam suite last Oct at Music and loved it. I am doing POR this time (we have 5 people) bc it's less expensive than a suite but if I wasn't trying to save money I would definitely do ASM again.

How does that work when the trip, tickets and all are already paid for? Once in our room I'm not planning on moving until I check out to come home.

If you definitely do not want to move you should try for a room only, because they will not guarantee it unless it is one reservation.

Does anyone have an opinion on the dates bring as predicted? I get nervous being put on the spot Thurs AM to decide about a flight change. Only a 1 day change or trip extension would be worth the money, so since I check in 10/2....date accuracy is a big deal for me!!

I would not change anything with airfare until you are booked.

I didn't get any information from Chip. Note that Chip also said Grand Floridian was excluded. That wasn't in the information passed to me....I'm just passing along what I was able to determine.

Believe me, I didn't want to even report it, but I felt it best.

Better for people to have a heads up. Not as if you don't report it it will go away.

I modified ours a few weeks back and was not charged the new ticket prices.

This has been reported by several people. Probably a glitch.

I fear that is when the real nightmare will begin. Hoping and praying we can get our December trip in before the stupid Magicband madness "officially" begins. My Disney Experience is a complete joke in the tech industry at this point.

This makes me sad. We are booked at AOA Lion King suite and would have loved any kind of FD and/or discount. My DD6 is just dying to stay there and I promised her that is where we would stay...so no switching for us. Oh well, maybe next time. But, I have been following this thread for the last two weeks and I am very excited for those of you who are able to take advantage of this!!!! Good luck tomorrow everyone.

Pretty sure you can still get the room only discount. Not as good as FD but better than nothing.

I see nobody wants to stay at ASMu. Yay! Less competition.

This is how I feel when people don't like CBR. The less competition the better.

We have a TA, and I've been in contact with her, and I know shes on the ball, but I'm just so nervous letting anyone else other than myself do this! Shes a disney TA, not AAA or something like that, so that makes me feel better (booked with AAA once and will never go back to them again!) but I still hate leaving it in anyone elses hands!

I agree it is hard, but my TA emailed me by 7:05 Monday to say it was not happening that day. So I know she is on the ball.

Is getting two rooms connected at a Moderate resort possible. Looks like it would be about same price as if we ketp AoA and paid for the dinning.

Wanted to stay in a deluxe studio at Bay Lake. Those were the only rooms left for October 26th-Nov 2nd. Now it shows nothing available.

They always do maintenance the day before a big discount, so that could very well be what is messing up the system.

A couple of things to toss in the mix...

• Steve at Military Disney Tips is hearing that there's not a lot of availability in standard rooms for the Armed Forces Salute--that people in some cases are having to upgrade 3 levels (e.g. Club Lagoon View at the the Poly) to get the discounts. So have a plan F in case the deals require a higher-price room than you'd been planning--especially if you've been aiming at a deluxe.
  
• While there's a ton of rooms at the moderates, the value for money equation of free dining is also highest at these. If I were aiming at a moderate I'd be on the phone pretty early tomorrow...my TA friends have told me these tend to sell out their free dining allotment first...dunno if that's true...
  
• Family Suites at ASM aren't that bad! There's a point by point comparison to FS at AofA here: http://**************.net/2012/09/05/review-the-family-suites-disneys-all-star-music-resort/ But there aren't that many of them...

I will be on the phone at 7 tomorrow hoping to switch my FD reservation from CSR over to POR. This is our first (and probably only) time staying at a mod and of ALL the disney resorts POR has always appealed to me the most.

So if the free dining comes out tomorrow then I have to make TWO separate reservations which means that even though we've paid for preferred location (and our disney balance is paid off)...we may not get that location. I would have to book a RO for the first night...check out the next morning...check BACK in under fd and hope that we get the same location we had??? That's bullcrap!! My husband will be po'd when I tell him this Disney needs to figure their system out because I don't agree with this. I paid for preferred and I expect to get that and I will raise a stink during our RE check in if I don't get the location I paid for!! And we can't do anything on Sunday night because of this!
And that is also going to screw up my dining reservations for the week!

Depending on what dates you are looking for the Epcot Resorts book up due to F&W and the huge Garnier Symposium which runs mid Oct.

well I guess at this point I am willing to pick my poison. For my 2 year old daughter that is... Nov 16-23 FD for Nemo is not going to happen. I have tried with 4 different pins to no avail. Still hoping for a RO discount but if not so be it. Cannot wait to see my daughters face in our Nemo room... Good luck to all tomorrow and discounts and FD for all.

Actually... While we were able to do that on our last trip in Oct 2011, I've heard from several people that they are cracking down, and not allowing that as much anymore. Don't understand it, because its in Disney's best interest to allow it, but I'm sure they have some reason behind it...

Good news! As of Jan. 1, 2012, you can use a TS credit for a CS meal anywhere on property. However, they have cracked down on using a CS credit for 3 snacks. Can't do it anymore.

Easy solution keep your reservation as is. No one is forceing you to change in order to qualify for FD.

Sometimes the Resort, room and Catagory will fall within the allocated rooms for a Promotion FD or RO and you will just have to modify your existing reservation in which case if you are PIF you Will receive a refund.

I honestly do not get your anger issue. I have been expecting Disney to someday restrict promotions to "New Bookings" Only.

As for the 2 reservations Disney tries to keep people in the same room if at all possible.
