Does anyone know if you get fast pass+ for fantasmic, is it a standing area or do you get to sit in the seating area? Trying to decide if we should do fantasmic dinner package or just get fast pass + if it's in seating area.

Yes, you can do fastpass+ for fantasmic - and the seating area for it is good. We did that in September & got great seats (maybe a little too good. We were 2nd row center, there was a pretty good breeze blowing toward us so we got 'misted' when fountains were going - was a tad bit chilly with the 'water cooling').

Hey all! Just FYI: Starting Oct 31 Disney is charging a $10 per person late cancellation/no show fee for ALL table service restaurants.

$10 per person instead of $10 flat rate for late cancellation/no show?? OUCH!!! Could get expensive if you've got big family vacation and some decide not to go to a particular restaurant then.

I thought it was this way already...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Lol...then you shouldn't have any cancellation fees;)

I know! That Monday when it rained all day(7 inches) and by 4:30 we were wet and freezing, we were trying to stay till our 6:55 ADR (I cancelled it at 4:30) but just couldn't take the weather anymore. With this new policy, it sounds like we would have been charged $60 for not giving a days notice.:scared:

That was for Liberty Tree Tavern.

Huh? When did this start? I never had any fees with no shows......and I am guilty of doing it a few times.....

Was I lucky? Or is this new? I know the pre paid ADR was a risk ...but all table service?

The only ADRs I booked a couple of years ago had to have a cc held. Maybe that is why I thought all of them were like that. Lol

Has everyone made their FP+ selections? I am trying to figure that out now. What is your strategy? For FP in the afternoon and do walk ons in the morning, or something different. I would love to hear what others are doing.

TIA!

We did FPs for the top things we wanted to do and/or those we wanted to do that we knew usually had long wait times and then made attraction and/or time changes at the park if there was something we had a FP for that had a short wait time. FYI - we had to change the time for the existing FP attraction, then change it to a different attraction. Wouldn't work the other way for some reason.

Btw, the Toy Story ride at Hollywood Studios is a BLAST. If you're planning to ride that one, you'll need a FP for it ... unless you're not planning to do much else that day or just like standing in line for over an hour! The day we were there, I never saw the wait time go below 65 minutes - and the park crowd was pretty light that day!

Yep, love Toy Story Mania!!! We got a paper fastpass first thing in morning and then also used FP+. When we were there the wait was 90 mins and they were out of FP by 1:00 pm and that was a 1.6 crowd level day!!! That day and our very last day when we only had a few hours in park, did we use paper FP (Buzz Lightyear), otherwise FP+ was enough because most rides had little or no wait time.:upsidedow

Oh, and believe it or not, we needed our FP+ the most the days it rained! When it was raining the lines were longer! Except for Splash Mountain, which is my favorite, but when you have walking around drenched for hours and then get blasted with cold air during the inside parts of the ride, that is the beginning of the end. Could not get warm and we all then had colds.

Ahhhhh!!!!!!! Sorry....too excited needed to "scream"....22 more days until we're at POP!!!!woohoooooooooo!!!!! :)

Sorry to post here last, but I made a new thread to get things rolling.

Free dining PINs are rolling for dates between January 3 and March 5.

This is a very interesting development indeed for us all.

If you get a PIN, please post over in the thread and let everyone know.

Again with the PINs! They are haunting us!!! Although next year I will be stalking these boards in hopes that I get one for this same time period!!!:cool1:

Me three! I can't work on talking DH into it without a discount after all. ;) My hope would be the Cabins, since we would not have FD.

Are you hoping to go in January or March??? I think we will go for the Cabins or 2 rooms at a Value. Maybe All-Star Sports since they will have a "new" food court, although we really never spend that much time there. This trip we ate at the food court twice and that was because we came back early due to rain. I thought AoA had a nice food court. I ramble...I could talk Disney all day!
