That is what I unsuccessfully was trying to inquire about yesterday. I was confused about what people were arguing about???There seems nothing to argue over? Do some think using the rider switch and FP the same day for the same ride is an abuse??? Being they are two different things, I do not see the problem. Or, were some confused CM's letting rider switch folks go through FP line for both parties??? Someone please help me understand what the big deal was/is? Threads with arguing scare me

I don't think CBR is part of the MB test.
We are in the same situation @ POFQ, no Magic Bands/FP+ for us either.

Finally managed to do on line check in! My sister came over and we worked our way to the "old site" and got it done. We had 2 linked reservations under my e-mail and it would not let me check her in,

56 days to go, nothing left to do but fax my room requests to FQ 3-5 days before check in.

yes, pretty disappointed, I was really hoping to have a chance to try out the MB as we won't be back to WDW for 4-5 years. But thrilled that we got FD at the resort I had my heart set on.

I am actually getting really down about this. The more I read on other websites, they predict this "test" won't actually end, it will just keep rolling out to all the resorts, just no dates for that happening. I wasn't too upset about missing out on FassPass+ when I thought you got either FassPass+ or regular Fastpass, but if people are getting to use both, then that is a bummer. I almost feel like a second-class citizen since I am not at a "chosen" resort. It's not a very magical feeling, especially when you pay a lot of money to experience the Disney benefits, then you end up missing out on some. I know it has to be tested and all and wouldn't be possible to roll out live to all the resort guests. Just having a pity party I guess!

I dont know but I did get a pop up to schedule FP+....which I don't think I'll do....I'll roll,the dice and get FP at the park

Another thought from my sad, potential non-magic band side.
If they really intend you to use either FastPass+ OR regular Fastpass, which is kind of what it sounds like if you read things from Disney, couldn't they somehow code the back-up KTTW cards to not allow fastpasses? Allow it to be used for door access, purchasing, etc. just not fasspasses?
I also wonder when the one-or-the other system will happen? I know if I could get fasspass+, I would use it at MK for BOG lunch, and fireworks seating, and maybe one afternoon ride. But would use regular fastpasses for all my other rides. To me the + ones would be like "bonuses". But if all of a sudden, it changed and I was not able to get regular fasspasses and I had made my selections thinking I would be able to, that would really screw up my day.

Did you do online check in? Or if you did, go in and modify it, even if you don't need to. Sometimes that seems to work. Unless you are staying at a resort that's not testing?

Ok, I am Totally new to this. I need advice on what to do. I am in Florida resident with the weekday pass, and would like to stay at Disney resort with free meal plan. I need advice on how to do this for the best possible deal. I am available to go at almost any time, And would love to go when the parks not busy.

If it were me, I would start at myfirstvisit.net (is that right y'all?) He has tons of info about crowds. As far as getting free dining I think you have to buy a package that includes tickets but call to be sure.

Oh, bummer! I haven't heard they were testing yet. Boo. Ya know, some people are making a fake reservation at pop, getting their magic bands, making FP+ selections, then testing either canceling the res to see if they can still use the mb's or just paying for the one night to be able to test the magic bands.

I agree with you. It's a bummer. Some people could care less but for those Disney loyals that do, it stinks.

If you get ME tags you can use that # for BOG. You don't have to have an MB or FP+ for that.

Yes. There is a thread about it - BOG fast pass test (I think) people use MB or ME #'s to make reservations.

Well that gives me a glimmer of hope on a down morning.
I guess what bothers me the most of this is that I am such a planner, and the not-knowing if we will be a part of it, or even what "it" will be by then is making me nervous. And of course, the feeling of being left out always stinks.

I have a question, if anyone is comfortable to answer...how much do you all spend or plan to take for spending on souvenirs etc-food not included. I knew how much I wanted to take before FD, but idk now. I know we will have a few more snacks than the 1 per person per day so I'm planning* to spend a couple hundred on misc. food. But since the last time I was there was as a teen, and my parents took care of all that I just don't know. It's just me, DH and DS 5...I was thinking just 1000 now? Idk I don't feel like that's enough?
