They'll put it through within 7-10 business days. Credit cards showing the refund will depend on when your statement period closes. Bank accounts typically show the refund pretty immediately.

Does the 7-10 day wait also include transferring the deposit from the old ressie to the new?

I'm at SAHM/substitute teacher from NC (about 20 minutes from Fort Bragg)....am I the only southerner on here?! :)

I need help deciding on the photopass+. I'm not completely sold on it. We will be traveling with my parents in November so they will be able to take family shots with my camera and we've never purchased ride pics...although it would be nice to have a some. Is it worth the money? Or can we just have my parents take our family pics or ask a CM to take shots when we need everyone in the pic?
Hi. I'm in NC, too - Holly Springs (Raleigh area ).
I did get the photopass+ for my September trip. Pre-ordered it to save $50 over the cost if you buy it WDW. (There's a minimum time before your vacation to get the special pricing.) Besides getting all your ride photos, you'll have all the character meet & greet photos and can have any photos you take yourself also added to your account so all the photos are in one place. There are also a number of really cute photo enhancements like borders, captions, etc that you can add to your photos to make them even more special.

To clarify, your personal pics will not be added to your Photopass CD, but you can add a few simple borders (not the normal Photopass borders) to your own photos and ored a Personal Archive CD for about $20.

Actually, you can go online and upload your own photos to your photopass account. I've heard that there are even locations in WDW that will do that for you, but I don't know for sure if that is true or not.

Here is the info from the Disney photopass website:
How PhotoPass+ Works
Purchase Disney PhotoPass+ and get unlimited photos from Disney Photographers and select attractions and dining destinations. You can then view and even upload your own photos online with a variety of options to customize your memories.

With PhotoPass+ you enjoy:
*Unlimited PhotoPass photos in your account
*Ability to customize your photos with fun Disney borders
*Magic Shot photos
*Photos from select dining locations
*Photos from select attractions
*Photos from other Disney experiences
*Your Disney PhotoPass+ card for Photographers to recognize
By purchasing at least 14 days before your vacation you pay only $149.

I've been reading here for a while, but never posted anything before. We live in Clayton, NC!
Can I just whine for a second? We booked a room at POP and so did my parents, but unfortunately our week in October is blacked out for free dining :(. All I could get was a $47 discount. I don't want to change weeks because we are going as a surprise for my daughters 7th birthday.

I am sorry that the FD didn't work out for you, but am glad you got some discount.
Oh - and hi neighbor! :)

Did anyone catch the podcast live today?

The recording is messed up and skips to another segment, I can't see it all.

We're going Oct. 5-12..no FD...and we are at POR so there was only a 5% discount, which really turned out to be no discount bc the cost of tix increased since we booked. On Friday, I cancelled my Disney ressie and booked through travelocity and got 15% off the room and tix, saving us $409. At first I was very excited, but am second guessing whether I should have booked through a 3rd party as I'm not able to see my tix online, Disney isn't recognizing them, and they are only good for the exact dates of my trip and are non-refundable. So....you might want to look for a discount through travelocity, but just make sure you look at the details of the trip and be sure you don't plan to change your dates at all...and know that you can't refund those tix...I got insurance to cover that part (on my own through Allianz).
Good luck!
