Actually, you can go online and upload your own photos to your photopass account. I've heard that there are even locations in WDW that will do that for you, but I don't know for sure if that is true or not.

Here is the info from the Disney photopass website:
How PhotoPass+ Works
Purchase Disney PhotoPass+ and get unlimited photos from Disney Photographers and select attractions and dining destinations. You can then view and even upload your own photos online with a variety of options to customize your memories.

With PhotoPass+ you enjoy:
*Unlimited PhotoPass photos in your account
*Ability to customize your photos with fun Disney borders
*Magic Shot photos
*Photos from select dining locations
*Photos from select attractions
*Photos from other Disney experiences
*Your Disney PhotoPass+ card for Photographers to recognize
By purchasing at least 14 days before your vacation you pay only $149.

Here is the link to the website for anyone interested: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/photo-pass-service/

Yes, you can upload your personal photos (as I said in my previous post) to use along with your Photopass photos to create products, like a photobook, but the personal photos will not be included on your Photopass CD. Only original photos taken by the Photopass photographers and any edits on ONLY those photos will be included on the CD. If you want your personal pics with their small selection of borders to be on a CD, you must order the Personal Archive CD. :goodvibes

ETA: Here is the fine print from the ordering page...

We're going Oct. 5-12..no FD...and we are at POR so there was only a 5% discount, which really turned out to be no discount bc the cost of tix increased since we booked. On Friday, I cancelled my Disney ressie and booked through travelocity and got 15% off the room and tix, saving us $409. At first I was very excited, but am second guessing whether I should have booked through a 3rd party as I'm not able to see my tix online, Disney isn't recognizing them, and they are only good for the exact dates of my trip and are non-refundable. So....you might want to look for a discount through travelocity, but just make sure you look at the details of the trip and be sure you don't plan to change your dates at all...and know that you can't refund those tix...I got insurance to cover that part (on my own through Allianz).
Good luck!

We are going Oct 12-19. I looked at Travelocity and it would definitely save us money, but I've never booked a trip through them and I'm a little afraid to do such a big trip for my first time! Also my parents would never do it (they're pretty old school with computers) and right now our reservations are linked to show we are traveling together. But it's our first time going, my girls have no idea yet, and we are still really excited!

How did you get it to show all your party? I'm with 3 families.

I thought I'd post here as well, since this is the current incarnation of our thread.

According to Pete, in today's Podcast....for the first time this year....the first Oct-Dec Free Dining thread has taken thread of the month for July, with Frump style coming in 2nd.

What a wild ride we had in this thread as well, from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs, and we stuck it out together.

Oh. Makes sense now. Did you call to do this.?

When we called to make our reservations I was at my parents house and told the CM that when I was done I'd give the phone to my dad so he could make his. The CM was really and said he would note that we were traveling together so that our rooms are near each other. Hopeful it works out that way

I'm excited for you! :goodvibes How old are your girls? They will be so excited! In 2011, we surprised our kids using a pizza, an idea I read about....We had our local pizze shop make a pizza in the shape of Mickey's head. The pizza shop was excited to be part of it. :)

I did! Lol I stuck through 1, 2 and now 3. :)
Way to go Joe for creating THE thread to be a part of!!

They'll put it through within 7-10 business days. Credit cards showing the refund will depend on when your statement period closes. Bank accounts typically show the refund pretty immediately.

It took about four or five business days for mine to be credited. I was beginning to get worried as my TA handled it for me :). Good luck!

For those who booked and cancelled rooms, how long did it Disney to credit your refund? Waiting for mine....but it's only been a few days. (switched to travelocity)
Thanks!

Fairies, of course, silly...pixiedust:
Now you're just reminding me of the movie Stripes....

"What kind of fairies son?"

'AAAARRRRRMY FAIRIES SIR!!!!!"

I am so excited and have to share. My OCD regarding dining reservation has paid off. I just scored a table for 6 at BOG for 12/2. Couldn't believe there was an opening
