Does he have his own MDE? My DH signed into his and it automatically took his info from me. He had to go back in and I had to show him how to give me permission to edit his stuff. I know he didn't edit it b/c he was clueless about it all.

Just got off phone with tech support. Reservation is in my daughter's name and Ricky is on her MDE account but not on mine. She can make FP+ reservations for all of us so all is well. I was just worried that the message I got when I tried to make the FP+s is that he wasn't eligible - had me worried there! LOL

That is awesome! When is your trip again?

Will be at POR from Sep 12 - 21 (DGD's birthday is Sep 14th - taking her to BBB to get dressed up as Cinderella & then having lunch w/ the princesses at CRT.)

The next generation vacation planning system MyMagic+ is expanding to more Walt Disney World resort hotels for the next round of testing.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House Villas, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort and Villas, Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside will be joining the existing test resorts which are Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort.

To take part in the test, guests will need to be arriving at their resort between September 3 and October 31 2013. As with the previous tests, the full range of MyMagic+ features will be available, including 'touch to pay,' 'touch to enter,' FastPass+ and MagicBands.

I do like that my info is on the band if my kid gets lost! Parents worst fear!
I hope they sell something that looks like a band then, a "dummy" non-magic band or something, for the younger crowd. DD will be 2.5 so old enough to know she is missing something! But certainly won't pay $100 for it! Would be nice to have info on it though!

I agree. They sell all that stuff to "customize" your band, they should include a "fake" one for little ones. Let's hope they will.

They do have band covers for the MBs. Don't know if there is way to wear them w/out being attached to the MB though. If you can figure out a way to do that, hopefully your DD won't feel like she's missing something then.

Wonder how long it will be between October 31st and the full roll-out? I'm guessing my mid-November may miss out on it all now.

Cool! Reading this makes me so glad we love Pop so much as we were worried with calling to get FD we might have to switch to All Stars. Looks like we would have been left out of all the MB FP+ fun!

Oh goodness. Didn't realize this was a hot issue!
We have one kid who is 6 and another who will be 2. We usually got two regular fast passes - for one adult and one kid, and then got a rider swap and the other adult and same kid would ride again.
Thanks for the info. Glad to hear you can still use rider swap with fast pass+, maybe they will formalize how it should be done with all the changes.
I never really thought you could use rider swap to "cheat the system" -- just want to make sure both parents can ride with our 6 year old! But I'm sure people figure out how to cheat everything.

Actually, I think what those people meant was what you do (although everything I've read says you are right on) IS cheating the system. They are under the impression that you should pull a FP for you, your 6 y/o, and your hubby. Not just your hubby and your 6 y/o. It all goes back to the misinformation out there. When even the CM's don't agree (each camp said they were doing what a CM instructed them to) then how are we supposed to? It was kinda funny to read but then the name calling started so I just went another thread. The thing is with FP+, you could technically get double the fast passes with rider swap. You can only schedule a certain amount and if you do it as you stated (the way most people understand it to work) then you could swap your way through 6 rides instead if the allowed 3. I think that's why the debate started. Craziness. We all just wanna have fun, :-)

The way I have always understood rider switch, is that is an either or situation. Either you use rider switch or use fast pass. They are two different lines. If you do rider switch, you tell the CM and they will give you the RS pass and put you in a "holding" area while the rest of your party is directed to the regular queue. And upon their return, you and 1 other person can ride again without waiting. Just the way we have always done it:), but I guess there are ways around everything.:confused3

I got the fastpass idea for the first parent/kid combo from the Disney Moms Panel. And you aren't in a holding area, you are outside the ride completely, and then when the first were done, we went through the fasatpass line, at least on all we used it on. And I think the rider swap ticket is good for more than you and one other person, but don't remember how many the ticket says.

I see what you are saying now. I guess I never thought of pulling a fastpass for the "second" adult for another ride. To use fastpass for one adult and one kid, we had to pull two fastpasses. They expected us to give them two for two original riders. And always had to see the kid who wasn't riding.
Don't want this to become another debate thread! I agree -- let's just all have fun!

I think were are saying the same thing; I should have said waiting area, usually outside. :goodvibes But the first portion of party is supposed to go through regular queue first, and then the rider switch pass holder and their guest go proceed through non-waiting queue, aka, fast pass line.;) Here's Disney's link:

It all just makes me want my kids to hurry up and get tall enough to go on everything! Oh, wait. Still crying about them growing up too fast and starting kindergarten. Such confliction a parent faces!

Totally understand and agree!!! And ya know, we have found the rider switch to be more annoying and just opt for the fast pass. We all get fast passes and one parent and one child waits with the baby and then when the others get done, the other two go. With rider switch, because it only allows 2 guests, can lead to disagreements about who gets to go the second time. With FP all is fair among siblings. No bickering: priceless.:thumbsup2

I know!! It's terrible. I'm first grade and Pre K 4. I really want them to stop growing! But I'm also trying to find them danskos and cowboy boots and hats they like so they can be tall enough to go on the fun rides. How crazy is that?! Lol!

Just be careful with your shoe choice. I have seen CMs ask for shoes to be removed if they look like they are trying to boost height. Happens a lot. Hopefully a growth spurt is coming soon! :goodvibes

Another controversial topic! I totally admit I bought the highest-heeled tennis shoes I could find for my 5 year old last year! They weren't crazy or anything, were just normal shoes. But just gave that nudge to get him over the 44" mark.

6 days away from doing online check-in! Can't wait, just one step closer to vaca!!! Do you find out at that time while doing online check-in, if you will get magic bands or do you find that out closer to the trip?
