And this is probably cheating somehow, but it was mentioned on that other thread that if you don't have Magic Bands, if you click to modify your online checkin and look at the URL you are sent to in your browser, there is a long number as part of it. If you use that as your confirmation #, it works.

I did this last night and it let me make a reservation

No guarantees what they will do with it when I get there, since I don't have a MB, but if they don't, I'll just eat somewhere else.

I went to MDE, to "My Reservations", then for the resort, clicked "view details" and in the upper right corner it says "change check-in".

I have already done online checkin, but I think it said something slightly different in that spot if I hadn't.

You don't have to really go through the checkin, just see what the URL is that you would go to.

Should look something like:

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/trip/online-check-in/resort-reservation-id/###########

Where the "####" is what you are looking for.

I didn't choose my meal. I just clicked done and it gave me the confirmation screen. My friend insist it would not let her advance without choosing her meal. That happen to anyone else? She was concerned her family won't like the choice she made.

This has nothing to do with MB's. You won't need them.

I didn't have to choose food either?! I did print my screen to take with me in case they don't have it for some reason.
