free dining Nov 2011?

I am new to WDW planning so sorry if this is a stupid question (there aren't any stupid questions just a lot of inquisitive idiots right?). I have been trying to find information on discounts for the time of year we would like to go, especially the free dining promos. I found on mousesavers.com Oct 2010 to Sept 2011 free dining... does that mean free dining won't be offered at all the last part of Nov or the first part of Dec 2011?

If they do a Free Dining promotion for Nov/Dec 2011, it probably will not be announced until the summertime.
I'm also hoping they do offer it then as well. It is offered this Oct/Nov/Dec, so I'm pretty confident they will try to match the same offers for next year.

I know a lot of people make their reservations and then call back when a discount comes out to modify. But if Disney releases deals based on what % of resorts are booked, then this isn't a good idea, right? We're looking to go in Nov 2011 - and not Thanksgiving week - so I would think there's plenty of rooms available and there's no need to book before deals come out, even if that means waiting until summer. IF free dining was to come out for Jan/Feb of 2012 and not the end of 2011, we would wait and go in 2012.

We are in the same boat. I'd like to have a date in mind and start planning (its an addiction really) but it would make a huge difference in budget if there were free dining offered and we are so flexible with our dates that it doesn't really make sense for us to do anything until we get closer to vacation time.

If they had it this year the odds of them offering it next year is good. You just have to wait and wait and wait....

Am planning a trip September 30-October 16th (yes 2 weeks at WDW!!!) and would love to be able to have the free dining during that time frame.

If you start your trip during the free dining period, is it good for the whole trip or only for those days?

In the past, yes, if you check in the last day of the Free Dining promotion, it is good for your whole stay. I checked rates for the same date for my family & the free dining went for the whole trip checking in on Sept 30, 2011.

That's my hope, too. They've offered dates through 2011 so early that we can't use the "what they've done in the past" as a logical conclusion for what they'll do next year. I wonder WHY they've offered free dining dates so far out - that might help us figure out when more will come.
