Free dining is when??

Did I read somewhere that the free dining packages will start on August 21st? Or was I dreaming. We get back on the 19th so I am just hoping and praying that we miss the onslaught of free diners! LOL. We have ADRs in place but I thought that the free dining option will affect the crowds. What do you think?
To all who got the great dining deal, way to go! I think it's a wonderful thing and if I didn't already have something booked with DVC I would have been in your group!

I beleive it is August 21st through October 4th. At the end of the promotion it continues for anyone who checked in by October 4th , for their entire trip. Does that make sense?

We may go down to WDW for DS's bday on Nov. 4-8 for a long weekend. Does anyone have any thoughts as to them continuing the free dinig plan into November? I noticed they are running the special again - is it the same dates as in June or different dates? Thanks for the help!
