I was just reading the FD offer. If I am reading it right, I can't use it for my family? Says 6 night 7 day stay. I was hoping to do a split stay as we are coming in on the 10th of December and staying till the 16th. Can't change our dates either.

The minimum night stay is 3 nights. What you quoted is just their example.

As long as you have a package with at least 2 days of tickets and 3 nights you can add FD if you're checking in on a qualifying date.

So it does look like it's 6 nights instead of the 3 nights that were mentioned previously. Has anyone done less than 6?

I know what it says. The minimum is 3 nights. It's always been worded that way. Always. Their ad is worded as the typical weekly vacation. The minimum ticket is 2 days which wouldn't match a 6 night stay.

I did all the permutations to see if I could get a nice deal.

I could do the free dining 12-16. Contemporary does not offer RO for 10,11. Total of both doing a split stay was only a $100 difference in what I paid. We booked this trip in October 2012 through AAA and are paid off.

I was able to see about RO for 10-16 at Contemporary.....Tower with Bay Lake View. That is a savings of $200. So, we may go ahead and go that route. I was hoping for a bit better on the discount. But, every little bit does indeed help.
