Free dining in the Spring?

If Disney was to offer free dining for the Spring of 2015 when do you think they would release it? Also what is the fewest days you have seen required to get the free dining?

We are going on a 3 night Disney Cruise in May and would like to add a few days at WDW and am hoping to get free dining. I also don't want to do a full week at WDW and wondered if they ever offered free dining for around a 3 night stay.

Don't count on it. There has never been any general public free dining in May outside of one year where it was offered for the last week of May. Could be pin codes but other than that you'd have to be British.

All free dining offers are a 3 night minimum.

Thanks. I know the current offer is 5 nights so I didn't know if they went below that. We would do 3 nights but it would have to be for the first of May 2015. Oh well. We went this last May and paid for it. I was just hoping that maybe for this next trip we could get it free. I LOVE their fee dining plan!! After having it for free a few times it sure hurts to pay for it.

there are no 5 night free dining offers. It's always 3 nights minimum and 14 nights maximum. If you see anything else, it's just an example for advertising.

Oh ok, Good! That makes sense. I just seen them advertise for 5 nights and free dining. Good to know it can vary some.

In general, it seems like they're reducing the free dining offers, so I wouldn't count on seeing it in 2015. This year, they did the Stay, Play, and Dine" discounted package in the spring.

Yeah, my parents were able to get free dining this last February but it wasn't good for our visit in May. Thanks for the link. I will look at the history and just keep my fingers crossed that we can score free dining for our next trip.

If your parents got free dining in February 2014 then they got it via a pin code or a bounceback, there wasn't any for the general public.

Yeah we both usually get Pins mailed (or emailed) to us. I was just disappointed to see that the dates weren't good for May.

There isn't anything wrong with keeping your fingers crossed or hoping for free dining, but don't PLAN on it. It is unlikely. If I were you, I'd make my plan and my budget without free dining. If it happens it will be a nice bonus (but there is almost no chance of it happening for your dates).
