Free dining! In DECEMBER?! Yaaahooo.....!

Anyone else get the pin code for free dining in December?

We have a big family WDW vacation planned for December 2010 and my DH originally said, "NO DISNEY VACATIONS UNTIL 2010! AND I MEAN IT!" (We have been the last two Decembers.) I know better than to try to change my sweet hubby's mind when he gets like that and I was resigned to this unhappy reality, fellow Dizzers. I sighed deeply, often, and just tried to think about how much fun we would all be having in the distant future.

But then...Disney (in their infinite wisdom) sent us a pin code for free dining! In December! It's practically unheard of, right?

It took a little convincing (but not tooo much) and now we are headed to Wilderness Lodge 14 December (our anniversary) through 18 December!

DOUBLE, TRIPLE, DANCING Oh Disney, I adore thee.

And the very, very! best part is we are taking our adorable, wonderful, brilliant, grandson with us! He will be turning 3 on 15 December. I had to twist his mother's arm, but I emerged triumphant. Remember boys and girls: Old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time! And if none of that works, there is always good old fashioned Mommy guilt.

Fun, fun, fun, here we come!

was it emailed or mailed or did you call and ask?

Yes I too got a pin code for free dining in December! We actually already had our trip planned for the previous week (Dec. 7-13) and I tried and tried to switch our dates, but we would only be able to go for part of the week with the free dining (because we unfortunately have to be home by the 18th and it would require a day's travel for us, so we'd have to leave by the 17th). I tried to do half a week with free dining and half a week without, but it just wouldn't work out because you have to purchase park tickets with both the dining plans. I did the math and it would've only saved us around $150. Which really stinks!! But I'm glad it worked out for you though!! Who knows, maybe I'll cave and go ahead and take the free dining! I just hate the thought if getting this wonderful opportunity and not taking it!
