Free Dining in 2012?

My family might be planning a trip to Disney in 2012. I was just wondering if there is a possiblity that Disney is going to offer free dining anytime in 2012? Thank you

To be honest no one really knows.

Recent history tells us that there is usually free dining in aug/sept, due to that being a slow time. The heat and kids going back to school, so they intice us.

And there have been other times, but Disney released a statement at the begining of the year saying they were slowing down their "discounts" and there wouldn't be as many.

So who knows....I can say everyone was expecting free dining from Oct-Dec this year, but so far nothing. And it is way past when they announced it for last year.

Best thing to do is plan to pay for food, whether using the dining plan or not. Then if it comes out yay you can save that money.

Thank you. The last few years that we've been to Disney we've gotten the free dining plan and we hope to get it next year.

The UK always has free dining offered a year in advance. Disney have recently changed the available dates for us. Originally it was part of Jan and Feb, then 1st May-18th June, then the end of August until November.

It is now offered from 1st January - 26th February and then again from 1st May until 18th November. We only get it it free with moderate or deluxe hotels and then it's the quick service plan for moderates and regular dining for the deluxe hotels.

I know that USA doesn't usually have the same offer dates but if it's offered here it's usually offered at some time during the year for you too.
