Free Dining in 2009???

So, with the economy the way it is and it looks as though it will be a long time before it gets back on track, wondered if they will offer the free dining more than once if they do it then (Aug. Sept...I think it is) next year??????

Unfortunately, there is no way to predict whether Disney will offer free dining for 2009 or not. If Disney's bookings remain low for 2009, it would seem logical for Disney to offer free dining, but anything can happen between now and next August/September.

Keep checking with the Disboards and around March there will start to be
a buzz and the it gets stronger and stronger 1st of April.
If you already have a Disney Visa you will get 1st dibs on booking
FD if Disney Offers it again this year.
We had FD for the last 2 trips and booked the FD Bounce Back while
at WDW Resort just to make sure we would get it.
We really have Enjoyed going during FD, crowds were low but
worry about hurricanes drove some guest away. We didn't even know
until the last minute if everything would go smoothy whenever we
were going with one hurricane after another coming.
It all worked out in the long run.
Hoping Disney does offer FD again for the public because we have
family that would like to join us for this trip if it is offered.

We booked a Free Dining Bounce Back for early October 2009. We booked this while we were there on FD September 2008.

With the continued bad economic news, I wouldn't be surprised if free dining became more common.

Some people will be tempted by a 4/3/7 deal, some by free dining. I think Disney will have to use every trick they've got over the next year or two. (I just hope my situation improves soon enough that I'll be able to take advantage of one of the deals.)
