Free dining-historically when it is good?

I understand that it will probably be offered in April, but for what time period will it be good for? End of August to early November? I need to pick my vacation time for the year soon and want to plan out a possible Disney trip if it can be done with free dining, if not I'll have many small at home time off periods. TIA

Generally it's for the end of August and most of September. I believe the window of free dining was about 4 weeks last year. However our UK friends receive a different promotion which includes most of August and September, but no value resorts. I believe the bounce back folks from free dining 2007 were able to book for September 2008.

in Sept. for Free Dining. In 2006, it started 8/13 and went thru 10/4. In 2007 it was more like 8/26 thru 9/22. I'll be back for my third go round in 2008 (bouncing back) & the dates available were 8/30 - 9/27.
