Is there anyone with the free dining plan that has a trip plan.

Im trying to work out how best to use the vouchers.

Im only on the basic plan but don't mind using the vouchers at face value.

I just want to know which resturants are the best to try.

i am not using them till march. i am also on the basic plan. i guess i will have to use the counter service ones for an early lunch. i will be using them mostly at face value. i hope to eat at cafe mickey, silver spur, the steakhouse. i may try one of the standard buffets, maybe restaraunt des stars.

i would have a look at the restaraunt sticky. there are loads of pics in there. be warned, after five minutes you will be starving lol

We have the standard ones and will be using the lunch ones at counter service restaurants in the parks, including one on the day we arrive. The remaining lunch, DD and I are going to Auberge for the princess lunch, DH and the boys to McDonalds, then they are having a "boys" afternoon together.

Evenings, we are eating at:
Annettes (no more to pay)
Cafe Mickey (using at face value)
La Grange (probably) (using at face value)
Inventions (using at face value)

If you want to use them for their full value at least some of the time I'd recommend the Restaurant des Stars buffet in WDS from personal experience and the Hotel Cheyenne's buffet always gets good reviews :goodvibes

yes, i need to work out a plan too!
we are staying for 5 nights.
arrive sunday be in park about 3.
leave on friday.. leaving about 3/4.

nothing too spicy..as i have a stomach ulcer, plus boys wouldnt be too keen, pasta would go down wel with kids. i am keen to do annettes a few times...

any ideas?also going in feb, so shorter park hours

I also have the standard plan for the free meals, when we go next March. They suit us down to the ground, as we do tend to use counter service anyway for lunch, and then have table or buffet service dinner after the parks have closed.

Our dinner vouchers will probably be used at Annettes (nothing more to pay) and Cafe Mickey (used at face value). We might even manage to use only my adult voucher at Cafe Mickey (we love the pizza there) and then I may take my DD to Restaurant des Stars for lunch on our last day, as that would leave only around 20 euros for me to pay, and it really is fabulous food :goodvibes.

We are going end of October, staying at Hotel Cheyenne so have the standard vouchers (free!!) Staying for 2 nights and don't want to spend too much extra. Our plan is

Wed packed lunch on Eurostar, dinner at Chuck Wagon Cafe at Hotel Cheyenne, buffet covered by voucher

Thu counter service lunch prob pasta/pizza, dinner Plaza Gardens, buffet covered by voucher

Fri lunch at Restaurant des Stars, buffet, use lunch vouchers at face value and pay extra, snacks on train home

My boys are 8 and 11 so childrens meals are a bit small for them at some places, which is why we prefer the buffet option at the moment! The Agrabah cafe looks nice too but my lot don't like couscous very much so have voted for the Plaza!! Not used any of these restaurants before but reports look good.

Do you think they'll allow this? Will they be treated the same way as previous HB vouchers ?
I'm interested to find out how these vouchers use pans out and how strict they'll be with their use.
Last visit some of you may remember I wanted to use 2 standard vouchers/person at face value in the more expensive restaurants and was told twice at City Hall that I couldn't do that, but on my return I queried the policy with DLP and was told I should'be been allowed to and I still have that email, in case I should need it again.

We'll have the standard plus but plan to eat at Inventions, so I would be very pleased if I could use 2 vouchers towards the cost, we've a 4 night 5 day package organised but won't be arriving until evening on the first night and leaving about 4.00pm on the last, so technically will have a voucher left.
I'm also wondering if they will let us combine a lunch and dinner voucher in 1 use, but I can't see that happening. Otherwise we will just have to resign ourselves to doing a lot of eating.

and today I have started my diet in anticipation of the New York's cooked breakfasts, coffee and cakes at Salon Mickey, lunchtime and evening meals.
Note to self: must ensure we do balloon on first day, it may not be able to take off with the additional weight by last day. ;)

i dont think the counter service vouchers can be used at face value at buffets.

According to the terms and conditions of this deal, both type vouchers can be used at face value in table and buffet restaurants - but they can't be used at face value at counter-service restaurants.

I think you should definitely take your email with you Jill, regarding using 2 vouchers per person to pay for premium meals :thumbsup2.

The terms and conditions of the free meals voucher states you can't combine vouchers 1 and 2 to pay for meals though.

really thats quite good then. i suppose they would make more money that way if people have to pay extra for the buffets.

Sorry to butt in but whats the latest you can eat at Restaurant des Stars if park closes at 7pm?

Thank you :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies :thumbsup2
