Someone told me that it is possible to apply the Free Dining to a DVC reservation if you buy a one day park ticket? Does anyone know if this is true? We are heading to Disney next week and the Free Dining offer just came out for the dates we are there. Just wondering if it is possible or not. I also thought I read a post about someone who did this, but I cant find it. Thanks!

No, free dining is not available with DVC stays. In order to get free dining you must book a package through CRO that includes a rack-rate hotel room and at least a one-day park ticket. Since DVC stays do not include a rack-rate hotel room they are not eligible for free dining. The same is true of any WDW hotel stay that is discounted (AP rate, AAA rate, etc.). Disney is able to offer free dining to those who book the package as they make up much of the difference on the price of the hotel room.

Sorry for the bad news...but have a fantastic trip!

Hey, CraftyMouse, you're starting to sound like a recording. :lmao: You've posted that answer about ten or more times in the last few days. You beat me to this one, though. :thumbsup2

I feel like one! I think I need to have a saved document with the answers I use a lot. I have one for the Cruise Board (dining rotations, show schedules, etc.) and think it's time for a DVC version.

I'll race you to see who gets there first next time!
