Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

The dates sit well with my plans, so I hope they are good. Other than that, can I just say.... This will be the first time since last Free Dining release, that I'm wishing my weekend goes fast!

It appears based on his blog that his actual prediction is for Aug 30th through Oct 2. The earlier dates in August he has listed as being available to travel agencies only. Does anyone know if there are usually dates given only to TAs?

These dates make the most sense to me.

On twitter, viajeromagico in tweeting than FD will be from August 15 to October 2 and some dates in October, November and December for bookings from April 27.

Maybe this offers is just for South America... I don't know...

Oh, I hope so! I really need late August. I'll be heartbroken is it's from September on.

Does anyone know what time we can start calling on Monday????? So excited.....if the rumored dates are correct we can check in on Nov 19th and stay for Thanksgiving week with free dining.....fingers crossed!!!!!!

Yes, but I would recommend calling early. It's not unusual when these new offers drop for the phone lines to be crazy busy. People can be on hold for more than an hour so it's not a quick call, change and hang up normally. Just wanted to make sure you allotted enough time.

Thoughts on POR? We love it there but we need a backup plan for FD. We usually are lucky with getting pins for FD so when it's released and if its not included do we stay and hope for a pin or should we switch and then if we get a pin switch back?

Unfortunately if these dates are true......then our trip will be excluded. We have Year Round School and we get two weeks out in the middle of October. It was excluded last year on our first trip....and looks like it might be again this year.

Advice needed! We currently have three families booked from 11/7-11/15 at CBR. Should I call now to adjust the dates to 11/8 to streamline the process when FD goes to the general public or wait and do it on the phone that day? One thing to keep in mind is that if CBR is not on the list of resorts then we would probably downgrade to a Value (Probably Pop). We will probably still go down on 11/7 and do a split stay.

That would make more sense, although TAs in the US don't typically get different offers. Could be different for South America I guess.

I wouldn't make any changes based on rumors.

In my experience, the feels have not been put online first thing. Also, DV specials are not online at all.

Trying to keep up with the thread, but Facebook is pulling me away. Lol! I think the start date of Aug 30th is much more likely. I think Canada got the earlier August dates last year, but not positive. Change nothing until it's officially released.

Is there any downside to booking online rather than waiting for the phone lines to open?

Two years ago I waited on hold for 2 hours to change my booking to free dining. I gave up and made a new booking with free dining and then cancelled my old reservation and everything worked out great.

This year is different as I don't have an existing reservation yet, I will just be making a new reservation. Am I missing the benefit to doing the reservation by phone?

It's also excitement about the general public release on the 1st. Although someone said that Friday is an odd date for an offer to come out so the gp offer might be on the 30th. Who knows! It's just excitement about rumors! And the UK rumor was true!

Not that I know of, other than the website potentially moving slow and the available properties not always able to keep up with the changes in real time due to the high volume of bookings, booking online was very fast and easy last year. So much that I booked two reservations when my resort of choice came available and then called to cancel the first one.

This only applies to gp though, apparently Visa card holders have to call to book.
