Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I suspect that a major factor in releasing FD all together last year was they had already decided that there were going to be very few dates for FD after October 4th (Oct had 1 week, Nov had 1 week, and Dec Had 12 days) and the rest were blacked out. Wouldn't make sense to do a whole big separate release for so few days. Based on history (http://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/#2014) if they only release September in early May, then a late fall release that is better than last years would probably come in August. So unless they totally change their approach from the last 6 years if you are hoping for timeframes that were blacked out last year (i.e. they do a much bigger late fall promotion than last year) then that probably would not come until July/August. Either way, I would guess we would know about September at some point in May, but it might possibly be later May (closer to when the current promotion ends).

These are some good points. But, I would also add that I wouldn't hold my breath for weeks that were blacked out last year to be available this year. It seems the black outs are getting more and more frequent, I'd really be suprised if they opened up MORE dates.

Did someone mention possible Star Wars weekends in the Fall? Oh man... we would HAVE to come then!

I think they released them together to lock people in before Universal's Diagon Alley opened.

Have I to live in UK to book in the UK site? I live in Spain and I don't know if will be better to book in the US or UK site...
I believe it is UK residents only. As far as I know, people from Spain use the U.S. site.

Did anyone get an email from Disney Visa, talking about an upcoming offer that you needed to use your rewards? It was basically telling you to submit for rewards to use for an upcoming offer. Not sure if it will be for the store, parks, etc???? Ideas/opinions?????

I got this too and got really excited until I saw this:

"A special Disney Store offer will arrive in your inbox in just a few weeks. To take advantage, you'll need to redeem Disney Dream Reward Dollars®."

It's just a promo for the Disney Store. Anything from Disney right now is making my heart race!

That was me. It was purely guessing. The movie drops in December so I wouldn't be surprised if they did a big hoopla leading into it but nothing has been rumored...unless I just started one.

Agreed, especially 2014. Seemed like before 2014 though it was pretty wide open during the fall but just excluded at some resorts. We can always hope :)

Good point, was not aware of that. Possibly another reason not to get our hopes up for late fall dates to be released before July/August.

Well until it's an official "no" I guess there is always hoping! :genie: I really just am looking for something to hook my DH into planning something this year and Star Wars would be a no brainer to book! Can't seem to make it happen this spring.

I read somewhere in this vast sea of speculation....that April 23rd was the big day. So....I'm guessing April 23rd. And please, whoever gets the exact date or even close to it....please post your Victory in here so we can all read it!

LoL! I am the same way. OMG...mail from Disney....let me open it!

Crazy newbie question.....would it be worth signing up for Disney Visa and will I get the upcoming FD offer when it comes out early for the Visa people?

It depends what's "worth it" for you. You get early access to the free dining offer usually and you can get 1-2% disney rewards back... We pay for, just about everything on our Disney visa to accumulate points then just pay it off each month. Its a nice way to have a little extra for vacation.

If you are looking for a credit card to sign up for then yes it might be a good idea. Of course getting credit impacts your credit score to some degree so I don't know if I would do it in the middle of a home REFI.
