I plan to stay at every resort at least once in my life. We did Animal Kingdom Lodge our first time with my son and I would love to do it again. Our second time wad POR, which I stayed at when I was younger and it was called Dixie Landings. This year might be POR again because it is a GREAT resort, but if FD is not available there we will probably do CBR or CSR
I want to stay at each resort at least once as well. On my bucket list!
Yeah....so many folks are waiting for free dining this fall! My daughter and her family can only go if they get free dining. They are a family of five and the cost is too prohibitive if they have to pay for food. Some families spend $ 7000 to
$ 12,000 for a Disney Vacation. So I'm here with my fingers crossed....so we can all go!
Room discounts only apply to dates covered in the offer, with the rest being rack rate. It has been this way for years. The summer offer that just came out apparently requires that you stay during the entire time of the promotion. I am a little worried because our trip is October 30-nov 8 and November 1-8 hasn't gotten free dining in the last but they usually allow it for your stay as long as you have at least one night during the promo. Anyone else worried?

You really should wait to book until the free dining promo comes out. The more people who book in advance, the less likely Disney is to offer a promo/ the more exclusions and blackouts may happen. That's why both port orleans resorts were excluded last year. Enough people booked in advance so they didn't need to offer a discount. We know we're going in October, but we won't book until the discounts are released to the public.

We peeled the excess part off my sons. It will no longer fit my wrist, so i actually clip it to mine.Under (a whole lot more), we went last year when DD was 2. She was free entry so we didn't have to worry about her magic band. What do you do for littles who don't want to keep their band on, but need it for park entry and fastpass. She doesn't like to have anything "on" for more than about 30 min.
I disagree. As much as I absolutely love Disney, let's face it, they are there to make money. The more people who will hold out and wait to book, regardless of if they will go with or without free dining, the more likely it is that better special offers will be made and with fewer exclusions. Waiting for the announcement can only help your odds, booking now can only hurt them. My family is going in October for certain, with or without free dining, but we are still waiting to book. That only applies if they aren't going to go without a promotion. If you'll go either way, book whatever you want.

That's your prerogative. But I'm not holding out on a booking if I'm going.
I'll book what I want, for when I want, within my budget. If something comes out to lesson the cost, great! If I'm going either way I'm not going to chance not getting what I want.
I understand that feeling. I'm just hoping that any little bit I can do might make a difference, even if it is small. I can understand both sides, and don't get me wrong, it's hard to wait to book. I just know that there are already going to be a ton of people to book early in hopes of getting the free dining. If we can offset the impact of those people, even a little, it's worth it in my opinion. If I can help to influence anyone to wait, and those people influence others too, you never know if it will have an impact overall or not. I hope we all end up getting what we're hoping for, and get to save a bit of money in the process. I am certain we will all have a magical and memorable time regardless. I also know that the free dining can be make it or break it for some families so I guess I'm willing to hold off for a bit in hopes that it benefits us all in the long run, that's all. I hope yall each have fun vacations though regardless of when you book.Yea, I am with you on that one... If I am planning a Disney vacation, I am going with or without free dining and will book what I want early. If it happens to come out, and I need to change resorts to get it, as long as it is somewhere I want to stay... Its a blessing!
PIN#'s are sent out before general offers and usually have less restrictions.
