Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I haven't been to Disney in several years. I have always enjoyed going during free dining. We are looking at going sometime between Aug 16th and going home the 30th. If what I'm reading is correct, there isn't much chance of the big free dining being offered. Do they still do pins at all during that time frame with free dining?

I booked our stay for September 6-19 at CBR. The nice CM on the phone told me to keep checking My Disney Experience for deals. I guess she was hinting without coming right out and telling me what was up.
I decided that we need to go deluxe, so was wondering if anyone has the upgrade prices? After figuring out our free dining meals, we still needed to put $1300 OOP and that's not counting snacks or drinks. I have 6 year old twins and they want all the character meals much more than they want rides. We're also doing all the dinner shows and Le Cellier. We really need deluxe.

Did you tell her what time you are going or just ask for a PIN in general? I just got one about a week or two ago but doesn't apply to when I'm going. But I'll keep an eye out anyway.
No just asked if there were any associated with my name.

Huge bubble buster - phone CMs don't know when pins are going out. They just get notice when a fresh wave is sent after the fact. They tell people to check back because it sounds better than "I don't know."

Boooo I. Got excited...:-(....although last year they said to try back in a week and they were right on...maybe they know from experience and timing with other promos....?????

Thanks for the info! I have two rooms on the BB--one in my name and one in DW. I don't think that they would allow me to get a third unless I had another adult that was "Bouncing back" to be listed as the Lead reservation in that room-I tried, but no dice. I was glad to snag the BB and the two rooms (for my 7 and my in-laws of 2), but now trying to figure out how to get 2 more rooms for our friends!!?? Thought I could sit back and just watch all the festivities this year, but appears that I am right in the middle of them once again! Oh well, it adds to the excitement!

I am curious about this process. We have FD through a bounceback and a friend of ours is interested in going at the same time and was wondering if they could be added to our reservation to get free dining. I thought not since they weren't on the trip with us last year.

It sounds like I could put a second room in my DW's name and add our friend's family to the reservation? Is that correct?

Not now with the BB. I don't believe they'll allow you to add a second room after the fact, but you can always call and ask.

If they do, you'll have to do it the way you said - in your wife's name with them on the reservation.

Yes, I think aaarcher86 is right. Had you booked 2 rooms with the BB--one with you in one room, and the other with your wife--during the time you were at the resort, I think that would have worked. They will let you tweak your dates once you have a room, assuming there is still availability, and extend or shorten tickets, but adding another room after the fact sounds doubtful. Let us know if you make it work!

We are hoping for some December dates! We've gone for the last 2 years for our anniversary and had free dining both times, we wanted to go during the Christmas spirit time this year. So I am keeping watch! A couple of questions under the umbrella of a whole lot more..

1) What is a PIN code and how do I get one?
2) How do you get a bounceback offer?

THanks!

1) Pin codes are random. The best way to increase your chances of getting one is to subscribe to as many Disney accounts online as possible and be sure to check the box that says allow Disney to send me special offers or something similar thereof. Many people have been trying to get pins for a very long time and have never received one. Others receive the same pin multiple times.

2) Bouncebacks are in your room when you checkin. You must book them before you checkout.

Thank you so much! Still makes sense to do it as it's only $200 more than we would have had to pay OOP and this way our snacks and drinks are taken care of also.

Just an observation about the PINs (may not mean a hill of beans . . .)--we have been going regularly to Disney for the past several years and never get PINs. We had some friends go with us one year, and they did NOT return with us the next time. After that, they have gotten a PIN code every time the PINs have come out, trying to entice them back. May be a coincidence, but suspect that as a reguarly goer, they are not having to put the carrot in front of this horse to get me there . :)

We go every year, and get codes almost every year. We have always been booked already, too. Lol
