Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

So heads up for everyone considering December dates. I did contact a TA and they said that with my dates only one or two days of free dining may be possible and to wait and see how Disney handles it.

So it looks like it's not necessarily a bad translation and that speculation on these boards could be right.

I could see this maybe happening. It's not unbelievable to me, although never been done before, I think Disney is doing little tweaks every year to switch up FD a little more each year and lessen it. As a leaning off of as many have stated. Christmas is one of the most crowded times to go that's another reason it wouldn't surprise me if they did a sudden cut off as something new this year. I hope not for you December folks tho! Good luck everyone :)

What?! It does sound like there might be some big changes after all. Oh boy, that is really going to mess things up for people in December if true. My dates aren't set in stone, so I could travel between Dec 15 - 21, but I hate it if this does turn out to be true for others with December trips. :(. Definitely hate that this might affect your trip. I guess we just have to keep waiting to find out for certain.

Ok thanks! That makes sense and would be terrific if true!
The neat thing, too, is that many of the restricted resorts are available--like POFQ. We are going on a BB this year in September. I believe the flier implies that they will continue booking into the fall until they have been used up. But, again, if you are getting one in November, it is for bouncing back the next year to that late August to early October time frame.

I have to make my ADRS Monday with check in 10/24, not sure what to do or how to handle it if I have to change my check in date as the rumors state FD for 10/25
Does anyone know if they would let me do a room only reservation at the same resort for 10/24

You would do a split stay with a room only on the first night then your package would start the next night. We did that last time.

Called Chase and got right through. I asked if there was any new promotions for card members starting anytime soon. The girl was super helpful and said she couldn't say anything "on the record" but to keep the Disney number in my phone for next week. I asked "Maybe Monday?" and she was noncommittal, would not confirm nor deny. I even tried "Okay I'll say a day and you like cough or something if I'm close?":D She was not giving up anymore than what she said!

That is too funny! Thanks for trying though. :)

Good morning everyone! I followed along last year with Black's dates and got FD. So now that he's posted the rumor too, I'm pretty sure it's legit. We're traveling with my mom and siblings and really hoping on FD. Does anyone remember last year if Disney confirmed the dates for Visa card holders before it was released?

My in-laws are going in October and we'll have them book two rooms as a BB depending on the offer. I have a hard time relinquishing the control but it will be worth it to try to go with more open dates/resorts.

My husband has the Disney Visa but I am an authorized user. Will I be able to book the free dining reservation myself or will he have to do it?

And you do have to call, right? Do you need a code or anything, or do you just say you want the free dining promo?

Fantasmic is without characters. You can go for the character dining or the fantasmic package but you do not get both. The exception is that this summer they are doing the Star Wars character experience and Fantasmic package, this will cost you 2 TS credits so be aware of that before booking. The Fantasmic dinner package is a great perk to a good buffet! We do this everytime we go, with the dining plan.
Lunch has characters, but dinner does not.

Yes, this is AWESOME!

Last year, we had some early rumors on dates, but never anything as concise as this. In fact, I don't remember anything that looked this good on dates until right before the release, and we were finding out resorts that were limited just the day before (like POR and ASMo being not in the promotion). I do think that we will see the August start date be pushed back to the 30th or so, but that is just my 2 cents. There was NO confirmation from Visa beforehand that I recall.

Yes, this is AWESOME!

My TA told me yesterday that her insider said they hadn't ramped up staff for Monday so they didn't think it would drop then, BUT they did say a promotion is in the works! Maybe Tuesday! (But I'll be happy if it's Monday!):flower3::flower3::flower3:

I hope the rumors are true -- we are booked for CBR oct 25- nov 1...so would fall perfect with FD -- I have to make ADR's on Tues -- getting excited -- I just hope they don't sell out :(
I don't have a Disney visa so looking like I have to wait till next Friday!! :scared::headache:
Here's hoping!!! :genie:

Yes, I am going to take a wait and see approach, but I'm also going to go back to the beginning and compare prices for offsite, DVC rental, and even Disneyland. Originally, it looked like FD might save us the most money, but if it's off the table than there might be better options for us. I think it's a little late for DVC rental, but I guess it doesn't hurt to check it out.
