Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

Does that mean there won't be advanced bookings for DVC if they are directing us to WDW website, that usually means GP offer only

I just called in and the cm said I could either make reservation now and they would modify when discounts come out or call back in a few days and make my reservation then.

If the rumored dates are true, I am going to switch my trip to November, and I may end up changing resorts too if I can't get my room at CBR. So tell me about POP. I am almost tempted to just try for POP first. We don't have a Disney Visa so no early calling. I figure I may miss out on CBR but should be able to get something at POP, I'd prefer a preferred room. So please tell me I won't be disappointed staying at POP if that's what happens.

Do you have be staying during FD to book a BB offer? For instance, say you book a RO this year or are staying with another couple who have DVC (club not visa) but there is a BB for FD for 2016- are you eligible to book it?

So heads up for everyone considering December dates. I did contact a TA and they said that with my dates only one or two days of free dining may be possible and to wait and see how Disney handles it.

So it looks like it's not necessarily a bad translation and that speculation on these boards could be right.

But onto my next question: me and my boyfriend are going on the trip, and the trip is all under my MDE account. I'm assuming I need to be the one to call, but can he call to obtain free dining for our reservation?

Has anyone been the week of Halloween? Is it super busy? I was hoping end of Oct would take the edge off the heat but still be hot enough to swim. Plus it's my birthday! I am going to take my kid out of school to go during free dining. Parent of the year right here

There really aren't that many people that have visas. It just seems like that because of these sites.
But to answer your question, I'm not sure but I don't think they would hold any extra rooms for GP

This put my mind at ease...I feel like everybody and their mother in the entire world will be on the phone for GP free dining, but then keep telling myself it's a handful of people on the DIS lol

I was thinking about check-in of October 27th... Have never been this late in October but DH asked the same... If that weekend would be crazy!
We can both earn our parenting awards! My daughters birthday is then and I'm taking kiddos out of school... All for FD!!!

We always go the week of 24th or so and Halloween is in middle of it typically, this year it ends the week. Best week IMO
I love the weather and never ever had a problem with crowds. If you go 10/31-11/7 that may be a heavier week though, deemed Jersey week

Based on the rumored dates and the inclusions, which I know are just rumors, I think I will make a few ADRs just in case. ALready got CRT for lunch one day. I already wanted this weekend to go by fast, but now I would not mind skipping it all together.

We love love love POP. The busses are great, the grounds are kept up really well and it's fun to see all the larger than life decor. Bonus, it's a quick walk to Art of Animation, which is fun to visit, but the food court is tops in my opinion. Nice to have two QS options close by. If you have specific questions, feel free to send me a private message. We've stayed there many times (both with and without kiddos).

I have to make my ADRS Monday with check in 10/24, not sure what to do or how to handle it if I have to change my check in date as the rumors state FD for 10/25
Does anyone know if they would let me do a room only reservation at the same resort for 10/24

We love Pop more then POR/POFQ. Plus we find quick service more freeing then TS. It makes for a much more relaxing, go with the flow trip, rather then being tied to ADR's.

Thank you! I know I may be in the minority but the plus of staying at a value is I don't really want the table service dining plan. It's just a mom/daughter trip, she only has two sit down restaurants that she wants to eat at so I could pay out of pocket for those. She though is not happy about staying at a value, worries it will be too busy and that the rooms won't be nice enough. We've actually never stayed at one of the Disney hotels, we are campers so she wants something really special. She was also worried that there aren't coffee pots in the room, you know teenagers, they need their coffee.

I think in the past, there have been different BB available based on time of year you are there. The FD BB most recently is to return late Aug to early Oct, but it is only accessible if you are staying on property late August until around November, I think.

It's just a mom/daughter trip, she only has two sit down restaurants that she wants to eat at so I could pay out of pocket for those. Oh you are not alone. We are also taking our kids out but that's why we picked September! According to their teachers it will be far less disruptive to do it at the beginning of the year then to wait until school is well underway. Best part? Their teachers are letting it be excused as long as they write a paper about what they learn "Behind the Seeds".
I was really hoping it would be available today. I will feel much better about our trip once this part is over!
