I read where you can upgrade the free dining basic plan to the deluxe and just pay the difference in price. What about downgrading to the quick service plan? Would you get a credit for the difference in price since the quick service is less money?
No you can't downgrade and get a credit for something you already got for free.
But they have offered in the past few years a TS to CS and 2 SCs option if you're looking for ways to streach your FD a little. How it works is you go up to a CS and tell them you want to do an exchange. They give you a voucher (peice of paper) that is good for 2 SCs (that have to be redeemed at the same time) or some kind of merchandise (it varies by year). Of course if you are trading in a Childs TS you have to get a childs CS meal. Not sure if they are going to do the exchange or not this year of course, nothing with Disney seems to be certain until it actually happens. But I'd guess they will.
