Oh Jennifer, i'm sorry I wasn't on the DIS for two weeks while you were going through all of these problems!!

I'm glad your Mom is doing better and that your Dad made it home. What a scary time for you all! I'm sure your Dad regrets not being there, but he's there now and is doing all he can, so I hope he doesn't feel guilty. How could anyone anticipate something like that?
Good that your Mom hasn't been smoking since the stroke. I saw the whole "smoking" discussion over on D~'s report and I agree that people have to quit when THEY are ready, not because everyone wants them to or because it makes good sense to do so. It's just so heartbreaking to watch people shorten their lives, but the dependence on nicotine is such a hard thing to break. I really feel for people who struggle with this!
I hope you'll be able to get rooms at Pop for your preferred dates. I think I would prefer that to the cabins anyway. As far as if you go in December, I would leave on the 23rd. In fact, I wouldn't go that close to Christmas at all. I hope your Dad can do the November dates since that would no doubt be better crowd levels.
Have you heard anything about hubby's job interview(s)? That's pretty awesome that he may have two opportunities to work there! Keep us posted.
Maybe Charlotte's ears are bothering her more than she can say. That behavior at the book fair seems a bit extreme, but then, who knows what goes on in the head of a two year old? Being a parent is the most rewarding job there is, but it is also one of the most frustrating in the world. Just know that this will pass, like everything else. You're doing a fine job with your girls, Jennifer, and don't forget that!
I hope you have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Why not re-schedule that date night you missed out on. I think you could use a little "pampering" right about now.
