Free dining coming back!

Thanks for the post! After canceling our Christmas trip last year ( if anyone remembers my kids didn't want to GO!!!! they wanted to be home for Christmas!!) we are dying for another trip!!!!!

Do you have to book a package through Disney or can you still do the rooms and the tickets seperate and get free dining?

It has to be a package.

We're AP holders but we bought 7 nights at Pop Century, 3 1 day passes and got free dining for $795. I can use the 1 day passes at a later date or upgrade to an AP next year.

I missed it last month because the Airfare was too high...then the airfare is down and I planned a quick solo trip for universal...now the airfare and this? As long as I can rebook my flights on SW and add DS (8), how can I pass it up?

We did go in May because I didnt think airfares would come down....can I justify a second trip? Hmmmmm.............

One free Table service meal, one counter service meal and one snack (like a bottle of soda, water or popcorn and a few other choices) per day per person of your package, but all must be used at participating restaurants.

Woohoo!!! I just called to add the free dining plan. Basically, I had to cancel my old reservation and start over. They did check first before I cancelled to make sure we could still get a room at the CSR like we originally planned so that was really helpful. They're going to credit me back the one nights deposit I put down for the reservation.

As someone else mentioned, they will not apply a AAA discount to this rate. (We had originally booked a room only reservation using an AAA discount). The value of the dining plan far outways what the AAA discount would have been so it's not even an issue. I'm so excited! Now we'll be able to try all those restaurants we've been eyeballing for the longest time.

I just checked out the dining options and the list is HUGE! I'm going to have to study up and get these advance reservations (I think that's what they're calling them now?) made right away.
