Free Dining code sent to a child

I'm wondering just how the free dining pin codes work. My niece (who lives with me and I take care of) received a code in the mail. We would love to take advantage of this, but since my niece is a minor, how would this work?

You can still book using it as long as she is going on the vacation and her name is on the reservation. She has to be present at check-in.
