Free Dining Card For Ap Members!

Does anyone know if it is one card per ressie? Or for example we have two rooms booked would we get two cards??
Thanks,

We were told one dining card per AP booking. We got an AP rate for two of our three rooms (2 AP's) and the CM said we'd have two cards waiting for us at check-in.
Does anyone know if it's suppose to say anything about the dining card on the confirmation? Our email confirmation did not have any mention of it so my DH called back. Our Dining card offer wasn't put on our ressies at all so the CM added it. (I hope anyway) It still doesn't show on our confirmations though.

Thanks for this post! I was able to apply the code to our reservation at Pop that begins December 15. The CM said we would get a card for $25 of dining anywhere at Disney. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know where you can use the free Dining Card? I just received a Passholder e-mail from Disney with the following small-print paragraph:

Use of the Disney Dining Card (the "Card") is acceptance of its terms and conditions. The Card may only be used towards the purchase of food and beverage items at select participating Food and Beverage locations within Walt Disney World® Resort and will expire 15 days after check in. The Card cannot be used towards the purchase of any merchandise, Disney Gift Cards or Disney Dollars. Except and only to the extent required by law, the Card will not be replaced if lost or stolen and no portion of the card balances are redeemable for cash. The issuer of the Card, Disney Gift Card Services, Inc. is not responsible for any unauthorized use of the Card.

What are "select participating Food and Beverage locations"?

I know the card can't be used at Swan or Dolphin since they aren't Disney owned...but other than that I was told it can be used just like a gift card. I haven't checked my ressie online but I'm assuming the dining card offer was applied. I made my ressie online through the link and the confirmation before I paid said " three adults, $100 dining card offer included". ---Kathy

Just changed my reservation with an awesome CM - two nights at POP Oct. 22-24 and two nights at SSR in studio Oct. 24-26 - get $120 in dining free!!! That's awesome!!

A cm just told me the dining card is only for certain room types at certain resorts. I ended up upgrading from stardard to king since I wanted a king bed anyway and it got me the $50 dining card. So I'm really only paying around $18 total for the room upgrade. Has anyone else heard that it's only for certain room types? The cm gave me a pretty hard time about asking for the dining card so just wondering if what she said is true....

Hmmm no, hadn't heard that...we have a double room. I do know it is for certain time frames but not heard it was only for certain room types. I called and asked for the AP rate the other day. They gave it to me (but we had to switch from POFQ to POR to get it). Then I remembered the dining card and called back, and the CM said it had already been added to my reservation and would be added to the room key when we check in. So I think if you didn't get it applied you should call back and talk to another CM! You may have gotten one that didn't understand the promotion.

Has this change already happened (the holiday, weekend pricing)? I thought the change didn't go into effect until Jan 08? But I have read several comments regarding it.

I don't think so. Our reservation lists the days as all the same price. It's my understanding as well that this pricing change is for reservations after 2008 starts (no matter when the reservation was made) and reservations that are for Dec 2007 and before will be priced at the old scale and method.

The daily pricing has begun. I was looking via the AP link online at dates in Oct. and for the first night ( looking at Pop) it was listed as $59 and for the last two nights I wanted it was listed as $79. My ressie for Dec. was the same for both nights so I'm assuming for those dates I didn't overlap value/regular season like the Oct. dates did. I tell you one thing, Disney has us sharpening our math skills doing all the comparing of each discount, code, and availability, lol. ---Kathy

At the risk of sounding greedy... is the dining card for each night of your ressie? For example, if we stay 2 nights at a deluxe would we get two $75 cards. I think I know the answer but can't hurt to ask :-). Thanks!

I would be happy just the get AP rates for the week of Thanksgiving....I called the very first day that the codes came out and there was nothing available in the moderate category....:confused3

It is one card per reservation.

Any guesses as to whether the dining card will be accepted at the Food and Wine Festival booths?

Anyone have written confirmation of the dining card? I just got our ressies in the mail that I made on the phone, and no mention of the dining card. I switched our POP ressie to AKL for two nights and made the AKL ressie online, and that email confirmation shows the $75 dining card on it, but my SSR made over the phone doesn't show the card on the email confirmation or the one I received in the mail. Just want to make sure we won't have a problem when we check in since that one's $100!!!

Would also like to know this...our ressie was made over the phone and it does not show on our email confirmation that we have a $75 dining card. For some reason it has been bugging me that we have no "proof" that when we booked our stay that we were entitled to the card. I really wish they would include that on our confirmation email. I am going to call WDW and ask about it.

My take on the type of room pricing depends on when the res was made. Keep in mind that Disney's fiscal year starts October 1. (Learned that years ago from the DS sales. They use to have GREAT sales at the end of their 4th quarter in September to boost their yearly sales. ;) )
So new the resort pricing probably depends on when the res was booked. And if it was booked mid year and was a 1st quarter room/package res.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one thinking this. Call me old fashion but I like to have written proof of everything. Plus the fact that when we first booked we were told we had it but when DH called back to add our room requests he found out the CM hadn't added it to our ressies. Could you be kind enough to post what they tell you when call usewickhouse? Thanks. :)

A special thanks to katypop for answering my question. I forgot to ask CM and thought of it later. We'll make good use of the credit there. Count me in as someone who wants their dining card offer in writing!
