Free Dining Announcement by April 12

Since they've come out with the dates for the Disney VISA card holders...does that mean FOR SURE that the dates will be the same for non Disney VISA card holders...or could the dates for Free Dining be different for non Disney VISA card holders?

Someone on another thread said they spoke to a Disney CM and there will not be a 5 night min as some Visa CS people were saying. The "5 night at a Value resort" was just the ad copy from the promotion. The CM said it will be 3 night min (same as in the past) and at all resort levels (subject to available rooms at your resort of choice).
This made sense to me as usually Disney ads in my newwpaper quote a 5 night stay at Value resort.

Also, I called the dedicated Disney Visa 800 number on my card to make sure they had an email address for me.....they did NOT!! Not sure how thats possible since I check my account online all the time and it shows my email address there, but I guess they are two different things! I suppose thats why I never heard about Free Dining (or any other offers) in the past even though we are "charter" cardholders.

For the offering to the general public? No. We're not really even sure of the terms and conditions for it yet.

Ugh. That thread on the codes board says it is for a VALUE resort only!!

If true, that would indicate to me that the earlier offerings of free dining for this year, and the 40% off discount, did very well at the deluxe resorts.

ok everyone i need your help. I am a disney visa holder and i have been holding out for free dining to book, since half of my party is going only if there is fd and the other half is going no matter what. I need to book two rooms. shoulld i go ahead and book today and then on monday have then change it to free dining or should i just wait till monday? Please help! i'm going nuts!

Wait till Monday.. You aren't going to have a problem booking then, you are more apt to have a problem trying to RE-book

I have no problem with value resorts because I need 2 rooms and we can always pool hop at a Deluxe (JUST kidding!). But if free dining ends on the 22nd and you arrive the 22nd (thru 10/1) Is it still free dining for the length of stay? If not, we'll do the 12th -19th ish. Anyone know if its for length of stay? Bicker, do you know?

that is EXACTLY why I use a TA.. She has all my dates and my Visa # ready to rock So Monday morning I can sleep in while she is making my ressies. I use Tracy from Small World Travels if anyone is interested. she only does Disney Ressie's and she is awesome. I would be glad to hook you up if interested.. just PM me and I will get you the info. She has booked our last 3 trips with Free dining.

So as I understand it, as long as you check in by the 22nd, the length of stay up to 10 nights is free dining????

whoa! that is weird you should say that! I haven't been on the treadmill since last WDW trip (in December!), and I just started back on it on Tuesday!

The Visa people saying that it MUST be a Value resort makes no sense to me...and gives me hope that the 5 day minimum is wrong as well....that those are just examples. Almost every ad from Disney uses "5 nights at a Value" in their ad copy. From a business standpoint it doesn't make sense for Disney to only give people booking a Value room Free dining, but not people in the Deluxe or Moderate that they can sell a room to for more money.

I don't think the Visa CS is who will be booking this packages so I think they just don't know...they are reading from ad copy of even a misquoted memo. My guess is any link from a Disney Visa email will bring you to the regular Disney booking site, or the email will give you a code to call Disney directly.

I sure wish I used her then. My TA is from another place that claims to specialize in Disney and he's not on the ball. I emailed him with the new info this morning and asked if he would be able to get the free dining on Monday since I used the Disney Visa and so far I haven't heard from him. He forgets to send me other info that I need and never reminded me to make my ADRs or even asked about them. Well, you know what? if I don't hear from him by Monday morning, I'm booking the trip myself with the code and cancelling the one I booked through him. I'll lose the insurance $ but I'll sure save more money by doing that. He'll be out his commision then because he couldn't take a minute to answer my simple email.

Staying at POP Sept. 22 thru 30 maybe change from Sept. 21 thru 30 depends on airflight. Me and DW starting our 160 day diet walking 5 miles trying for every day if possible.
Did it for 100 days before our free dining and lost 35 pounds last year, but found 10 of those pounds back in Disney on the Dining Plan

I didn't ask for dates of nite min as I didn't want to be too needy. Anyone else want to call and get that info?
