Free Dining and Late Arrival

We are trying to get to Disney in time to have free dining, by Oct. 2nd (the last day you can check-in and get free dining). Our problem is that we won't be able to check-in until around 2AM, maybe 3AM, which is technically no longer a free dining check-in day (It'll be Oct. 3rd by then.) Anyone have any experience with this? If we can make it by 2 or 3AM will we still get free dining?

You'll be fine. Computers don't roll ver for the following day until 6am so you'll still be in on the 2nd.

We're driving down from the Atlanta area, but won't be able to leave until almost 8PM, so it will be a very late night. But worth it for 10 days of free dining.

This is correct. Technically, it will be the 3rd, but it's still the 2nd as far as reservations are concerned .
