Free Dining and DVC

If you are staying DVC can and you have annual passes can you get Free Dining?
"Free" dining is NOT available when using points. "Free" dining requires that you pay full rack rate for the room and purchase theme park admission as part of a package.

That's what I thought but just wanted to double check. The first time we could go during Free Dining and we are DVC plus have annual passes.

Free dining isn't really free. It does work out for some families if they have four big eaters staying in a moderate ... But it's usually not the most cost effective discount.

You can still book during free dining and use your tickets that you have to buy towards a future trip or apply it for a renewal. You do NOT have to use your tickets that you are required to purchase during free dining reservation. You would need to prioritize your tickets to make sure the correct one (annual pass) is used when you enter the park for free dining.

Free dining with the purchase of a rack rate room is a promotion designed to fill hotel rooms during slow times. Just as with other Disney hotel room promotions ("Pay for 4 nights, stay for 7" or "30% off room rates") it doesn't apply to a DVC stay on points. Free dining works for some people and not for others. You have to do the math and figure out whether it works for you. For example, perhaps it would be cheaper to pay for a hotel room at rack rate (or even a DVC studio, again at rack rate) with free dining and rent out your points. It depends on where you stay and how many are in your party.
