First question, though I have been on this site lots! IF, IF, IF free dining is offered in the Fall, is it available if you stay at FW or does it only apply if you are staying in one of the resort's hotels? I noticed that the 4/3 offer does not apply to campers so I am assuming that will be true of free dining as well but thought I would ask just in case.

IF IF IF they offer the free dining,, it will only be offered to the Cabins at the Fort,,NOT the campsites.

And WELCOME to the camping boards !

Welcome to the Disboards!

In the past, the free dining plan has never been offered to those with campsite reservations. I think it was offered for those staying in the cabins, but never for the campsites. I wouldn't expect this to change- they currently don't need to offer incentives to fill the campground.

I would have to double check with the DW, but I could of sworn we got Dining Plan free back in July 2005... :confused3

Thank you so much for your quick replies and I am so excited about "dissing" with other Disney junkies. I drive my family crazy about Disney! Even my children think I am obssessed and I am! We may have to stay in a Disney hotel to get the free dining if they offer it in the Fall. I'll hate to have to sacrifice and go back another time for the camping. (My parents just got a camper and I can't think of a better place to camp than at WDW!!)

I see you are from TN.

Lotta folk on the boards from TN,,
I wonder if thast says anything about us ? :lmao:

We live a little south of Nashvegas.

This is the same reason I am here today. I registered to ask similar questions.

I really wanted to do a large scale camping excursion (in Ontario) this summer, but would opt for Disney resort anyday over camping;), so if it is not included I would reconsider my plan of action:)

We only just got back from Disney this month, but the free dining is a steal!

Hope someone finds more than I have been able to find.

makelifehappen,
Wow,, we need the Welcome Wagon folk over here ! You are like the third new comers posting this morning ! :thumbsup2

WELCOME YA'LL !!

and feel free to ask away and join in .

This brings up an interesting point. Since the campsite prices have gone up so much and now cost more than a value room. Why doesn't Disney offer free dining to some of the higher priced campers ? They could limit the free dining to just 4 or 5 people per site. Like with the rooms. I really can't understand the policy. With Disney requiring everyone to have park tickets and such they would not loose any money. This is the very reason I left the camper home last year and will probably do so again this year.

I actually grew up in FL and went to WDW several times as a child. I moved to TN about 15 years ago. We just took our first family Disney vacation a few years ago and was reminded of how much I LOVE it! I am constantly "planning" our next trip. I love TN Spring, Summer, and Fall, but when my babies are gone, I am getting a Winter job at WDW!! :woohoo:
Oh and we are are in the Knoxville area.

Obviously, I am inclined to agree with you. Unfortunately, I don't think our opinions counts.:sad1:

Since I have never heard of free dining during the summer months. You must have paid for the DDP or you had some other special deal.

As long they can fill the campground there is no reason to offer free dining of any sort for campers.

Free dining is to fill resorts during a traditionally slow time.

When you didn't go camping and went to a value instead you did exactly what Disney wanted you to do. Fill a hotel room. Since FW always seems to be somewhat full they just sold the campsite you would normally get to someone else.

They do not offer Free Dining for the campsites, because they allow up to 10 people per site. A hotel room only has 4-5 people. They would be losing a lot of money to let 10 people eat for free! :cutie:

They DO allow campsites to be booked with the Dining Plan - but it's paid for.

Just got word this morning from The Mouse For Less that free dining is now available for Dinsey visa card holders. As bad as I want to stay at FW, free dining is just too good to turn down. Looks like my camping trip will be postponed to January. Yipee folks, I am going to Disney World!!!!!:dance3:

Well thanx a lot ! There goes my plans for seeing all your fishing pictures !!!

reck'n thats okay tho,,I like "free" too.

Well I am going to visit my parents in FL in June and we will do a lot of fishing then! Does that count? Fish from FL; surely that's good enough. I am still planning on camping at WDW in January. I can't ever remember if I've done any fishing in January, certainly not at WDW. I might for you though.:)

There is plenty of free dining all year round at FW. Just wait for everybody to go to the parks and circle the loops with your spoon looking for crock pots. Some of the stuff is pretty good, some of it stinks. But hey, it's free.

Having been camping many times, just not at WDW, I know this to be true. Not that I've ever done it.;)
However, POP it is in September. But in January 2010, look out FW, here we come.
