Because the official free dining thread is now pushing 630 pages, and people who are just looking for the latest rumors and information seem to be having trouble finding it amongst all the conversation, I thought it would be useful to have a separate thread to summarize the current rumors.

Remember, all of this is rumor and unofficial. Although it's coming from sources that are generally considered reliable, Disney has announced nothing and some or all of this could change completely.

Here is what is rumored as of today:
  • This year's free dining offer will be released on Monday, April 24th.
  • The exact timing of the release is unknown, but the past two years it has released at approximately 4:00 a.m. Eastern time. This does not guarantee anything about this year's release time, however, which could be different.
  • The free dining offer will require a minimum of a four night Disney resort stay, with a maximum length of stay of fourteen nights.
  • The offer will require a package including park tickets with either the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus options. One park per day tickets will not qualify.
  • No information is known about the minimum number of days of park tickets that will be needed; only the minimum number of nights stay at the resort.
  • The available dates for the offer will be August 13th - September 30th, November 14th - November 20th, November 25th - November 27th, and December 8th - December 23rd.
  • Qualification for the offer will be based on date of check-in. So, for example, if you check in on November 27th, you would qualify for your entire stay.
  • The following resorts will be excluded from receiving the offer at any time: All-Star Movies, Little Mermaid Rooms at Art of Animation, Port Orleans - French Quarter.
  • Port Orelans - Riverside will be included in the offer for the August and September dates only, but will be excluded for all other dates.
  • Rooms at both value and moderate resorts will include the Quick Service Dining Plan. Rooms at deluxe and deluxe villa resorts will include the regular Disney Dining Plan.
  • You may upgrade from whatever level of plan is included to either the regular Disney Dining Plan or the Deluxe Dining Plan by paying the difference in cost between the included plan and the plan you wish to upgrade to.
Again, just to reiterate, all of this is RUMORED. Nothing is confirmed, and all of this could be changed or turn out to be totally wrong. But that seems to be the best information any source has gotten so far.

Finally, I'd like to request that this thread not be used for conversation. If you have questions, or if I've made a mistake on something, that's fine. But I don't want this thread ballooning to 600+ pages also and making it hard for folks to find information. :-)

I hope this helps!
