But why would Disney send me a unique offer code if I am already booked?
Disney is happy you booked, but Disney would be even happier if you upgraded resorts.

YOu can keep all of your ADR's. They simply give you "credits" and when you need to pay at the restaurants you will pay using those "credits". Tip is NOT included in the dining plan so you will need to prepare to pay a 20% tip at each restaurant.
so lets say I book a trip included dining, paid with credit card, do they give you a discount to NOT included your dining plan fee?? what I mean is, how do they give you free dining if you paid for it in a package??
Has anyone heard any news on FD for Oct?
oldtink said:I called Disney yesterday to straighten out the link between our rez and our friends since they want me to do all the planning. While on the phone, my Dh waived the new "unique offer code" in front of me that arrived in that day's mail. I groaned and the CM asked what was wrong. I told him it was our first but we can't use it since it expires Aug 26th and we are going in Sept. He laughed and said," What until next month and you'll be just as happy."
He didn't say what, but it's something. Even if I get the 30% resort discount, that will pay for my dining, so it's a win-win no matter what.![]()
That makes perfect sense but I don't think the people on this thread, or this board, represent everyone. There are plenty of empty rooms that time of year. If they don't offer it I'm canceling, without regret.
You'd be surprised. Last fall the free dining offer was leaked here and there were enough people here, that called and went online, to bring down both the phone system and the website many times through the day. The public wasn't even notified until later in the day when many of the popular rooms were booked solid. Just sayin...
That they were. Either way, there's enough here to throw Dosneys reservation system off kilter and knock out availability to many locations. It's a high probability that a large number of those people already had reservations but were calling to give the code to get free dining on their existing reservation.

We are going 12/5-12/10 and hoping for FD offer. Do some resorts get excluded from the FD offer? We are staying at POFQ and I noticed that it wasn't included in the summer offer of % off a room. Would it be excluded from FD as well?
Also, do you need a room and ticket package to typically qualify for FD? What if I book my resort through Disney but buy my tickets through Undercover Toursit - would I still qualify for FD if it is offered?
POFQ was not included in the Fall FD offer last year. To qualify for FD you need to have booked a package with Disney that includes tickets; usually at least 2 day tickets.
Yikes! Are we sure POFQ was not included last September? Earlier in this feed, someone said it was covered. I will need to change to POR if that is true. What say you all?
