Free Dining 2014 Discussion

Sometimes I think just that. It's no secret they follow these boards. So to sum it up. We have two dates at this point....April 21 and May 1. What we DO know is that free dining is happening. What we don't know is the specific date it's happening on. We have two citings of overtime from various groups at this point. One set of info is right and one set is wrong....but what would the other group be doing with their overtime in that case?

They may be using that time to let the CM's read the DIS boards to increase their knowledge about the vacations they are going to be booking on May 1st, hahahaha

Maybe May 1 is referring to the start of sale for tickets for the Halloween party? Isn't that about when they went on sale last year?

Is there usually a rush on MNSSHP tickets the day they go on sale?

Its going to be one or the other. Word of mandatory overtime on the 1st, with more the following week.

So we have TWO sets of dates with mandatory overtime rolling around.

I hope the original set I heard is true....and that was out til October 1. The only part that gave me pause was starting Sept 1.

Still, we have at least three sources for the 21st. It's not like I pulled it out of a hat.

Me too Black! September 1 thru October 1 is unlike anything in the past but they surprised me the year that I got FD in mid August!

There was an earlier post that was a little disturbing to me. The one with the UK promo with free breakfast for value resorts What is up with that I am a value girl as long as I am with my grandkids (DH and I go moderate).

Are you seeing any indication that this is what they are leaning toward here in the US?

Disney did release a year long FD PIN a few years ago. Could bookings be down that much??

Yes, that was the date they went on sale last year (both the Halloween and Christmas parties). We bought the Very Merry Christmas Party tickets. I don't think they sell out quickly though.

She was one, and I've seen at least two others.

May 1 last year was halloween ticket release. They wouldn't release those along with free dining at the same time.

Either Halloween tickets come sooner, later, or free dining comes sooner.

Last year you had to check in 10/2 to get free dining. That was a Wednesday and your asking about a Friday 10/3. Time will tell and hope for you but historically your dates were not included.

Thanks wdwmaw! It isn't a deal breaker, but if we don't get free dining, I would at least like a discount on room rates
