Just got off the phone and they said no, a few more days were her exact words. Let's make sure I didn't get "that" CM and it really is a no-go today.

I spoke with a CM yesterday and he said to go ahead an book as there is something for gp next week. He didn't say more than that, but I was really hoping.....

Called this morning and no new offers YET but she said 'probably next month' which is next Thursday So the wait continues

I was slightly worried that the DV offer would be open today and include October ressies. It was my ADR date and I don't think I could've handled all the coordination required!!!

I know that it would be better to hold off on a room reservation but DH really wanted a room guaranteed since it is for our 20th anniversary.

Got all of my ADR's, including a BOG!!! It is for 9pm though so I am currently on hold with Disney Dining to see if they have an earlier time. Looks like I might be doing the every day checks for awhile. But if that is the worst of my problems with a Disney vacation, I'll count myself as pretty darn lucky.

Here's hoping FD is out soon and that October dates will be included at some point in the future.

Ok- we are hoping to go to Disney for the first big family trip in early November. Flights haven't been released yet, so we were going to wait to book our package until then and are also hoping for FD, we do have and use the DV. For the experts, do we book now to secure our room prior to getting a flight? Can we adjust our dates if needed if there is a big difference in flight costs? And will booking our rooms now help us secure them where we want (either Pop or Caribbean Beach) when the FD is (hopefully) released for that time?

Disney offers discounts to book rooms, if rooms are booking at specific resorts without a promo, Disney can exclude resorts, room categories and dates based of existing bookings.
I would recommend you have a 2nd and 3rd resort in mind, just in case, along with the flexibility of other room categories that you would be willing to consider. And this all depends on if your dates are included

Since we are a family of 5 (one small enough to sleep on the bunk-size) our 1st choice is POR-AB. Might it be that POR-Mansion has rooms that qualify for FD but AB does NOT? Has anyone seen this happen?
We DO have our 2nd and 3rd choices lined up, just in case!

I have seen it happen where AB is excluded, but not necessarily for FD. I know when we tried to book a BB at POR AB it was not included at one time. Hopefully it will be included for the FD for you though!
