I read on another board that you can book up to three rooms with your dV for FD?

yes you can book up to 3, BUT you must be associated with the reservation.
For example, I am going with my son and his family this year.
I had to go onto the MyDisneyExperience and link us all together as the family and friends that we are traveling with on each others profile to be able to use my DV tomorrow and pay for both of our deposits.

I hope this makes sense. :thumbsup2
In January, my daughter and her family were going and I called to use my DV to help her book her trip and they said that I have to be part of the reservation: either on her reservation or if I had my own reservation, I would have to be linked through MyDisneyExperience.

I have loads of questions if anyone can help? I'm in the UK and have booked with Disney loads of times but never through the US site so just want to make sure I get this right! I already have a booking via Disney UK linked in MDE. If I book next week on the US site for the same dates will the system recognise I have two bookings for the same period? I just worry that it won't let me book one without first cancelling the other. If our first choice (POR) doesn't have availability by the time the offer goes to the general public and I have to book our third choice, CBR (POFQ was second but rumour has it it will be excluded) if POR becomes available later will I have to pay an amendment fee? If the rumours regarding POFQ being excluded are true does anyone know if there's a chance it will be released further down the line? It's showing all room categories available for my dates. Lastly, when it goes live to GP does anyone know what time of day? I was going to be off on Monday when the original rumoured date was but I have to work Wednesday so won't be able to check at 6/7am but could check just after midnight. Thanks
Hi. I'm from the UK too. You know that if you cancel your reservation through the UK site you lose your deposit right? It's a different company with different terms and conditions. Completely separate to the US booking site. Just checking you realise as I only found that info out through asking questions on this forum.

I have the boards for awhile but just now registered. I have a question/thought about pincodes. We always get pincodes both through snail mail and email. Usually 4 or more per year and always free dining. I looked at last years offer and the dates for it began August 25th while it seems the general public and visa card offers started September 2. I am just wondering if that will be the case this year? I applied and got a Disney Visa but from what I have read since I do not have the card in hand it will not do me any good tomorrow? We are already booked just want to apply free dining. Our trip start date is a couple of days before the likely Aug. 31 start date so I am in panic mode right now. Don't want to have to lose those days!

no news or posts about FD PINs so far for this Fall.
what are your dates, you might be able to do 2 reservations, a room only for the days before 8/31 and FD staring on 8/31. but the FD part would have to meet the minimum number of required nights.

If my husband and I switch from our BB to FD, we have to buy an extra park ticket to meet the 2 day requirement. We do not need to use these tickets this trip because we have a 4 day park hopper from another time that is unused. My question is, how do we stop the 2 day ticket from being used when we get there? Is that even possible? If it's not, we won't do the free dining promo because we don't need the extra tickets.
I did this last year. When I checked in at our resort the CM moved my 2 say pass behind my annual pass. Then, at her recommendation, before I entered our first park I went to Guest Services and they confirmed this had been done. Worked well and I felt better after double checking with GS.

Yes thanks I know. It's still going to work out cheaper even losing the deposit. There's only two of us so it's only £100.

We are staying 10 days so I can split it up. I have just never had to do that before so I am not sure how it works. We will lose 2 weekend days if I can't and I absolutely can't take my DD out of school for two more weekdays on the end of the trip. How do the tickets work doing a split? Can I book second part with free dining and my 10 day tickets and still be able to use them for the first two days with a room only? Thanks for the help! I am literally going crazy here.

Can someone post tomorrow the official dates released, for the people that have vaca dates beyond September, just in case Disney does not release those. I would hate for us all to be on hold waiting. Thank you!

Is the free dining offer typically posted on the disneyrewards site? Do I just call and ask if it's offered or will there be an official posting somewhere?

most of the time I know before the TA we use. The last couple years I've gone and shocked her that it was available when she hadn't heard a word yet.

Disney Addict and not looking for rehab!!

Yup, I knew more than mine so......I don't use her any more. I should not have more knowledge than her in this case. In fact, she was asking me questions when I stopped in for my tix. I didn't even get the commission.

they are on my MDE, as I played TA and booked them all with us and will be the party planner for all of the FP+ things as well. whoo hoo! :) :thumbsup2

I feel like my TA thinks I'm nuts :rotfl: I told her about FD tomorrow (we have a Disney Visa) and she said she hasn't heard about it... now I wonder i fI should just book it myself at 7am and transfer it to her after the fact. We HAVE to have POR (we're a family of 5 and can't afford Deluxe) and I don't want to lose out because she doesn't jump on it at 7am exactly :confused3[/QUOTE

I'm a TA and know about free dining! She needs to join DISboards :)

I made a reservation for September a few months ago through a TA for room/tickets only. If free dining goes live tomorrow for Disney Visa holders (which I am) how does this work? Do I have to cancel the previous reservation and hope to get a new one? Or can the TA simply add the free dining plan to my existing reservation? Hopeful and nervous! Jack

You need to have your TA call first thing tomorrow morning and book it!!! Make sure to touch base with her tonight! Rooms at certain categories sell out quickly and it can't just be applied to an existing reservation unless it's still available for that particular category.

So am I, but I thought the whole world knew of free dining. Maybe I'm just a crazy Disney person. Does she specialize in Disney bookings? And I agree, she needs to join DISboards, or at the very least lurk.

You can be assured that black or smitch will. They're awesome like that. ;)

Thanks so much! I'll get on it!

some TA's will not share the information until it is official because as we all know Disney can change the date of the offer any time they want. Some abide by Disney's rules and will not share information based on the confidentially agreement between the agency owner and Disney. Your TA may know but cannot share the info yet
