Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

Has anyone booked less than 6 nights for this offer? We are planning on going for 11 nights, but my MIL and FIL would like to book only 4 nights. We have been able to do this in the past, but the offer is worded differently this year.

From what everyone has said in this thread, the 6 night wording was just a marketing scheme to make you think it was necessary. They will accept 3 nights or more for the offer.

Finally got my trip booked... all the standard rooms at CSR for 11-14 - 11-21 are GONE.

Just for fun I looked up CSR for my dates, and at first they didn't show any availability, and then they only showed really expensive (over $5000 for 8 nights). So maybe they only have a higher room type available. I'm guessing that one is pretty popular because of the queen beds and the availability on the FD plan.

Question...do we need to pay for our whole trip on the Disney via card for free dining? Or can we just put the deposit and pay the rest with a non Disney debit card?

It seems like the moderates are pretty limited this time around. Makes me wonder what's going to be available when I can finally book.

I have a sneaky suspicion (gut really) that they are trying to move away from FD for mods....basically making it QS for values and reg for deluxe.....thus nothing for mods except RO discounts....

CSR is a the convention moderate as well, so sometimes if there is a large convention, they will have very limited inventory. And, since no POR to choose from this year, what little inventory was likely gobbled up.

I'd price out a deluxe just as a comparison. I've found WL to be the least expensive deluxe and I really do love it there.

Thanks-I'm going to try that! I have to figure out what the upgrade charges are first. A deluxe would be nice!!

You shouldn't have a problem. You may not be able to book a standard room, but otherwise you should be in good shape!

When I called yesterday and spoke to Sunny, she told me that the only rooms available for the FD were Courtyard view. No standards and no woods view. This is for the time period of 9/23-9/30.

OK a few quick questions if anyone would be so kind to help me out? I don't have the DV card and am waiting for the general release. I'll have eleven people spread over 5-6 rooms.

1. It is a $200 deposit per room correct? If we cancel a reservation we don't get the $200 back or is there a minimal cancel by certain time clause?

2. I can only reserve 3 rooms? Someone else in my party will have to get the other 2-3 rooms?

3. I can book them after midnight, via the internet, first thing the morning of the 7th? I don't have to wait till 7 AM to call?

4. Everyone in my party needs to be signed up on the Disney web site for me to make the reservations for them?

5. I can alter the reservations at any time and it doesn't cost any thing? If so, Is there a minimal amount of days out which I can do this?

6. I can administer the ride reservations and ADRs for my entire group or just the people in the three rooms I reserved?

ASMo was also excluded last year, not likely it will be this year either. POP and ASMu are big resorts, you should be able to book a room at one of those 2.
