One thing to suggest, if you have more than one phone at your disposal, use it also! Several mentioned having very long waits on the line they called in right at 7 on, but when they used a second line to call in, that line would sometimes be answered much faster! Not sure why, :confused3 .. but it wouldn't hurt to try, especially since you only have so much time that morning to hold. I dialed in starting 6:59 over and over and over, till it finally rang to their menu, and my call lasted 33 minutes including the time it took to book :) ... :rolleyes1

Fingers crossed that you are able to book in the AM, so you won't have to worry through the day! :flower3:

:thumbsup2 Yes, we used 3 phones. DH phone picked up over a half hour earlier than mine and he only dialed about 30 seconds different. We kept 2 going because people were reporting that after 30 minutes plus on hold, one would get disconnected and they would have to start all over. also, yes, start at 6:58-6:59. DH started at 6;58, and it made a huge difference in our wait times. Don't wait until 7:00!!!

We booked our trip before FD was offered, as it was the only time our family could go this year. Now if I 'switch' our reservations (we have the memory making promo) to FD do I lose my ADRs?
Sorry if this has been asked and answered. This thread is getting so long, I'm trying to keep up!!

We did the same thing. When FD came out I switched resorts and added FD. Our reservation number remained the same.

Since ADRs are tied to a room reservation number, you should be fine.

No, we booked ours early too with the MM promo. You will lose the room discount and the MM, but reservation number will stay the same to add FD. Also your ADR's aren't linked to a reservation, they are separate in your MDE. You could cancel all together and they will stay until you cancel them.

I am at a loss. BLT wasn't available for DVC points rental so I booked counting on a RO discount. RO excluded BLT. It is out second mother/daughter trip and we stayed at BLT last time and my 8 yo DD wants to stay there again. Rate is $532 per night for 9/27-10/5. We will save $559 on FD when the GP comes out but that just isn't enough. We need a monorail resort. I can't find anything cheaper than $483. Thoughts anyone? Our DV has not arrived yet so our reservation is the one I made prior to offers being released.

You would think you could get a better rate at the Poly the way construction is disrupting everything over there.

I would maybe try for a garden wing room at CR. Odds are slim but something may open up.

Just curious as too if anyone switched resorts yet after getting free dining? We were at POR, switched to CSR and then switched to CBR. Trying to talk DH into WL but that would deplete all or FDing 'savings' LOL

This may have been answered but i can't find it, is there a way to price out a package with free dining before calling? Or, is the price just the package price without adding a dining plan?

Yes - just the package price without any other discounts, and without the dining plan.

Traveling 10/24 - 10/29 so split the reservation for FD. My question is since we had to get the park ticket with the 10/26-10/29 reservation, what happens when we check in 10/24? Will we be able to get the ticket from our 10/26 reservation to take and upgrade? Do you think there's a way to do it prior to going so we can use it for FP+? Thanks!

I believe you can get your park tickets up to 3 days early

Unfortunately, this isn't correct :worried: (tinklvsu, sorry to dispute your word:flower3:). Once your child is shown as 10 years old (or asked to be shown as a Disney adult) on your reservation/MyDisneyExperience, everything you purchase would be based on the Disney adult price. With FD the only cost to upgrade your child is about $21 for the ticket package and for all special events your child would also be charged at the adult price (MNSSHP, MVMCP, Pirates & Pals, etc). Once shown as a Disney adult, everything becomes charged as a Disney adult. You purchase your tickets based on the info you have registered the child under on your reservation and MyDisneyExperience and that is the cost you would be charged.

I don't know if this helps. In the past, I had made my kids older to take advantage of adult meals during free dining. For the next trip, I was able to adjust their age back down to their real age since I was using the Stay, Play, Dine discount.

I would think there is a way to order the party tickets according to her real age.

What are the chances of a CR Garden room being available w a RO discount if none are available now?

Ok so I need some help from my fellow DISers. I'm working on my backup plan today just in case POP is not available for Sept 27-Oct 4. So what I'm hoping is if I could get some opinions on either CBR or CSR. We do not want to do any of the all stars so a mod will be it. I know I can watch videos & look at pics but those are kind of biased in my opinion. Lol. So if you had to choose one of the two which would you pick. Also my DHs main thing is busses, what are each of them like. We are 2 adults only going and it will be our 10th wedding anniversary while there. Also we have only ever stayed at POP.

TIA :)

CS is not my favorite because it is so big, BUT CB is really is smaller and the rooms are themed to FINDING NEMO AND PIRATES. The standard bed at CS is queen and CB has double beds. So if I had to choose (which we did) we went CS.

This may be a stupid question but is it safe to assume that if there's no availability when I check for my dates now then there also won't be when free dining is released? CSR only has king rooms available for our dates which is no use to us and also more expensive so we've settled on CBR. We had a chat today and my sister would have preferred CSR. Do they ever hold rooms back for free dining? I'm kind of hoping not, we had decided on POR until we found out it was excluded and have now settled on CBR. I don't think I have it in me to get excited about another resort!

I don't think its a stupid question at all and I don't think anyone really knows for sure. I even asked the super helpful CM (best one I've ever had) on the phone today a similar question when modifying my Disney Visa-booked package by a day and she said she didn't know.

Thank you for the reassurance! I suppose I can only wait and see what's available on Wednesday. I feel I need to consider all possibilities as I'm worried I won't have time to think about it on Wednesday!
