Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

The system often shows limited inventory the night before the deals.

If you don't want to walk or hop an internal bus to get to the food court and such, it is worth it. CSR as at least close to as big as CBR. Long walks for both. We personally loved CBR walking and all, and didn't pay the extra for preferred. We were VERY far from everything, but the resort was so beautiful, we didn't mind walking.

We are going with two of our DD's 9 and 6.... trying to decide if CSR or CBR is better. CBR looks like it needs to be refurbed but heard ppl say its dirty. I love POR but we will need to switch to get FDing. Im thinkg that CBR might be better with kids

Sorry if this has been asked... but I tried looking back a few pages, and don't have time to check EVERY past page!

I have a Disney Visa, do I have to call in with the code, or can I just say I am calling for the Visa deal?

Just say you are callinga bout the DV free dining offer

That is how I feel, I have been crunching numbers for every possible option for our family of 5. It is just a pain to me that I go to a value and pay more, or I go to a Deluxe and pay even more. No real options! Well..not what I wanted! But I will still book it because we love Disney! Dang! Maybe the GP release will have POR in it! :confused3
paying full price at POR with paid dining is cheaper than a deluxe with free dining! We are just going with AoA. I've been dying to stay there anywhere so this is my excuse ;)

Oh geez! There's no chance that applying for a Visa now would get me anywhere tomorrow would it? All of this talk of the offers tomorrow has me giddy, and terrified at the same time that the Visa holders will book up all the available rooms.

POP/or Value Resort- Oct 3-11

I didn't think it was dirty. The pool is pretty awesome and the grounds are beautiful. If I were doing it again I'd pay extra to be closer to the main building.

It is cheaper you are right.. I just looked at WL and its double POR. that being said I am willing to do a split stay at CSR LOL:rotfl:

We had three rooms last November. Actually six, because they originally had us all over the resort away from each other, and when we called and requested rooms near each other, they moved us the next day. None of our rooms were dirty. They were a little aged though. I do think they are due for a refurb, but we loved it. The pool and play area are very nice. Beds are small, but they were big enough for us. I should mention that I am not super picky though. :goodvibes

yeah forgot to mention the rooms .... they are dirty the linens are old... most everything has been glued back together at some point... I remember thinking how dirty the flood was .... I felt like I was sticking to it... and even stuff like the curtains looked like something out of a horror movie. the pool is fun I will give it that...
ok I won't say that....it's outdated and musky, but we had a corner room so that was nice.

So just called Disney Visa and the woman was talking in circles...i inquired about a code and she was like, "O no ma'am. We dont have anything like that." So i then said that i had heard some poeple have already gotten it and she changed to o that is coming out tomorrow. So i then called back and got someone else who did the same thing. i asked more and she said that it is coming out tomorrow and told me the dates but also mentioned it is for 7day 7 night packages....what if your trip is longer than that? will it still be available?

it is a minimum 6night 7 day stay and will for the length of the stay. So it you stay is 8 nights 9 days it will still apply

When I do a search for our dates for CSR it says nothing is available. So that only leaves CBR as the only MOD. Hopefully it has been cleaned, lately?

This is why people need to quit calling and wait 12 hours to see what is released! Calling over and over isn't going to change the offer!! Wouldn't surprise me if at least some of the cast members are just saying whatever to get through the calls....

After all of this I cant be the only one thinking....PLEASE let there be a BB FD offer when we go in September. I really don't know if I can do this again next year:crazy2:

Last October in the morning we were doing the sidewalk shuffle walking to the bus stop....worms every where and it hadn't rained a single day. I'm a nature loving girl.....but it was creepy!

If CBR does get refurbed, how long does that typically take? I know it depends on the type of refurb, but does anyone know a best case/worst case scenario?

They have made these kind of minimum stay requirements in the past and have never enforced them. I have usually booked 5 night stays and have always gotten free dining. You do have to get the minimum 2 day base tickets however.
