Free Dining 2013

I was on hold with two different phones right at 7:00.
At 7:10 I saw the online link someone provided earlier in the thread and started using that. I ended up booking three rooms all before they ever took me off-hold and that was after 30 minutes!
Whoever posted that online link, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

NOW, I have to call when I get to work to cancel the existing reservation I had because online it wouldn't let me adjust my current reservations.

Nicely done. This was going to be our backup plan if we hadn't gotten through.

I can't celebrate getting FD with y'all until tonight since my TA said she wouldn't be calling until tonight!

Sorry. Things are moving quickly and I missed this. steak is offered at many, many restaurants; not just the ones that scream steakhouse. Check the menus. Steak is the only "adult" food my DD, who will be just 10 when we go, wil eat.

So true, about so many restaurants having steaks. Just eating a couple of times and paying full price at those restaurants would cover the upgrade cost from value to regular dining...

So how does free dining work with the ADRs I already made?

Do I have to change anything from my cc. to dining plan?

Or do I just pay with the room card to get the credits when we walk up there to eat?

So true, about so many restaurants having steaks. Just eating a couple of times and paying full price at those restaurants would cover the upgrade cost from value to regular dining...

We already had a character reservation for The Garden Grill (anyone done that one? is it good?) and that was going to end up being around $150, to upgrade to the DDP was $250, so we went ahead and upgrade and added a couple other TS ADRs so it was EASILY worth the upgrade cost to us for sure. I really wanted to go to Le Celier (sp?) and this is going to make it so we can afford that too. So, in short, if you want to have any TS or Character meals at all I would say it's worth the upgrade.

Garden Grill is probably my overall FAVORITE! The dining experience is more intimate-you sit in a "u" shaped booth and cannot see the other diners-which means a lot less noisy. Outstanding character interaction! Great as a first place for young children who are more leary of the characters. They can be behind the table and between parents and they don't feel as though the characters are invading their personal space. Food is great too!

Forgot to mention it slowly rotates providing different scenery as you dine.

But I switched from BLT 2 bdrm villa to 2 rooms at WL woods view and saved: drumroll please-
$2059.50!
AND that is adding another day and park hoppers. LOVE FD!!

I just got Free Dining for my entire stay and I'm arriving 8/31. The CM put in right in the computer and it worked for our entire stay. I was worried about splitting my reservation in order to get the FD for part of week. But I was pleasantly surprised when she said it applied for the entire week. So if anyone is arriving late August like I am, may want to try to get it as well. I'm definitely having a "Disney Magical" day.
