I used to have custom Disney outfits with marching hair bows made for my girls for every day of our trips and one day, a few years ago, they wore THE cutest lime green polka dot outfits with Mickey heads on them and a woman at Wilderness Lodge approached mr and said, "please don't think I'm weird, but do you Dis?" I laughed so hard and said yes, bit asked how did she know. She replied that I had to be a Diser with my girls in those lime green outfits
Okay: lets shake it up. We've talked sentimental. So lets talk funny.
Funniest moments at Disney that you still laugh about when you think of them. Here's my top 3 list:
1.
The Snow Queen was standing there in the corner and we hadn't even noticed her. So, in character she yells out, "Don't run! WALK with DIGNITY!"
2.
I turn to my husband and say, "I leave him with you for 10 minutes and already he's a minion of evil?"
3.
Sure enough across the other side some guy is dressed up as Where's Waldo. But the way he said it was as if he had just solved an age old mystery.
This story covers BOTH those quotes:
In '07 I was getting giddy with all my Dis'ers sightings, and I see this family all with lime green mickey custom shirts, so I get brave and go over and start asking them if they Dis...only to be met with confused blank stares.
Not only did they NOT DIS...they didn't speak English.
Had to brush off my rudimentary Spanish and cover up my faux pas with a comment about their "bien ropa verde." LOL
Can't blame a girl for trying.
Some other funnies, now family traditions:
[All courtesy of my ds almost 14 who was 4 at the time of our first trip.]
We were approaching Epcot on the bus, and he sees S.Earth and says really loudly "HEY...there's the Hockey Ball at Apricot!!!"
Then at MK he wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel of Progress, and get the signatures of "Pokey Nose and the guy that fixes him."
To this day we still use those names for Carousel and Pinocchio/Geppeto.
The other funny one is we were waiting in line to board Soarin, and during the pre-flight video, featuring Patrick Warburton, the guy in front of us says to his wife "Hey, isn't that the waiter we had last night? Now, whenever we see Patrick Warburton on tv, my kids say "Hey, isn't that our waiter?" LOL
