When switching resorts when already booked with a PIN or PROMO code:
a) the resort you wish to go to MUST not only have availability .. but .. availability on the same offer code that you are booked with currently.
b) Trying to switch resorts once the original 'book by' date for your offer has passed cannot be done by the folks on the front lines of the Reservation Center. They will show zero availability across all properties once the book by date has passed. Don't fret tho, you call and ask for Guest Services to change your reservation and if there's avail left on the closed promo they can usually do it.

No, you can not apply a discount that has already expired to a new reservation.Is this possible if you do not have an existing ressie? I am thinking about the kids play free for the end of this month. It expired on 2/17.

My travel agent was able to switch resorts from POFQ to POR and keep the free dining that I already had however, sadly, the only availability was in the preferred room category (which is in AB section only) and I absolutely need a river view in the Mansions. So I guess for now I will remain at POFQ unless they reoffer the free dining and availability opens up for what I want. Thanks all!

I also don't like the AB sections but it seems like that is what most people want so I've never had any trouble getting the mansions.

Thanks. That is a relief to know since the only area that I am interested in is the Mansions. Maybe next trip if things don't work out the way I want on this trip.![]()

Got my first PIN ever yesterday afternoon...same as yours and I'm hoping that I'll get another sometime soon-ish for October.
Weird thing about this PIN is that I received it at work, an e-mail that I believe I set up a Disney account for when I booked a dining reservation a year or two ago and wanted to be sure I had the confirmation. When I logged onto it yesterday I saw that I hadn't added any detailed info about myself on the account and I really don't get Disney e-mails at work, so it for sure has been inactive. My home e-mail and DH's are set up as well and I thought I'd get home last night and we'd both have the same PIN because my co-worker checked his home e-mail and had the PIN within minutes of the work one I received. Alas, no PINs at home! So strange, this PIN business.
That said, I'm heartened that I have actually received a PIN, finally...even though I can't use it. I feel sure that there will be some later dates coming soon...at least I sure hope so! Since we aren't tied to one particular resort and are willing to try something new, I'm going to continue to resist booking anything. It's a strategy...hopefully one that works out for us!


so I called and yes Free dining for May 2-12.....cant get any better than that.....its quick service but we just kept the plus dining and she applied the discount.....we saved $700....
