I could kick myself for not booking FD when we were there in Nov.!My wife told me to book(had the flyer in the room),but I was so Disney saturated at the time(day 6 of 10),I just could'nt bring myself to do it! My wife and kids were killing me with the GO,GO,GO pace they were setting,and I figured if I made it out of there alive,we would'nt make our annual FD trip in 2011.Boy was I wrong!!!! I am,with everyone else,patiently waiting for fall FD! I,like Knox,think FD will be available again-Bookings must have been dismal for 2011 for Disney to roll out FD so early;couple that with the bad economy,Hurricane Season,Africa Hot Aug-Sept weather,and perrennial value season,and voila-some type of discount to fill the resorts,wether it is FD,% off rooms etc...makes sense fiscallyCome on FD!!!!!!

We were suppose to take the year off from Disney. That was Dh idea. We priced out beaches nad Atlantis. Then he said lets just go back to disney. He secretly loves it just won't say it.

We go for 10 days also so when we came back it was like lets do something else. Needless to say we should of booked fd before it expired but with Christmas and everything else going on. It sliped by so we are booked with the kids free and added the QSDP. I'm hoping for FD it would save me antother 350.00.

Just called and according to the CM I talked to, there were no PINs associated with my name. My MIL gets WDW stuff addressed to her at our house all the time (including PINs) even though she's never lived w/ us and never been to WDW. I told the CM about it & she looked up MIL's name & sure enough was the room discount PIN, but it won't work for my dates. She attached me to MIL's family though so if I wanted to use it, I could.

Not getting too bummed yet. It seems like every CM has a different answer to your questions, so I'm not going to assume that this one knew everything. Plus, I'm not attached to MIL's family, DH has himself in the system & my mom just put herself into the system today. So I'm hoping between the 3 of us, one of us will luck out.

yes game is in buffalo. if you decide to go make sure you get your tickets first. hate to see you come down and the game is sold out. who knows if there will be other savings like this.

I know we want to upgrade to a moderate but we pefer the QSDP. So we may just stay at POP. We do love it there. We added the QSDP to the kids free promo.

We have a Bounceback Free Dining Booked for our August 2011 trip! Usually the Bounceback offer is whats offered to everyone or something very similar come end of march Begining of April but this year was different the bounceback was offered and it was the same offer that was out Free dining for all the bounceback is usually a better deal say Im staying at Pop with free dining normally i can rebook reg free dining on the Bounceback but this year we were only aloud QSDP same as everyone else at a Value and Reg Free dining had to be Mod or deluxe! So the Bounceback is usually a nicer deal but this time around the bounceback was no incentive unless you knew you were going again at that time because it was already released to everyone before offered on Bounceback! With the way they did that this yr we didn't think they would be offering free dining come End of March Begining of April but maybe it didnt go over as well with Values only being Quick Service meal Free Dining and maybe they will if so Normally like I said the end of March Begining of April but anything gives this yr with the BB being the same as the public offer

I think it just means that everyone that is usually here anticipating the release of Free Dining in March has actually already booked their fall free dining dates that were offered last fall and had to be booked by December 20. Also, everyone who usually goes for free dining in November & December know that those discounts aren't usually released until summer.

Carrying over a question from another thread concerning FD pin codes and dates of travel..........

I know that with a room only code, all nights of the trip must be within the dates of the promotion to get the savings.

With free dining code, can you use the code for your whole trip if you check in during the dates of the discount but your trip extends past the timeframe? For example, if the code is good for June xx until 8/13 and our trip is 8/8 to 8/18, would we qualify for the code if we get it? I'm pretty sure we would, but wanted to double-check.

We are also planning on staying at a mod. I emailed Disney asking about using the ts meals as cs. They replied that I can use my ts meals at any cs location on the dining plan. I do plan on taking the email with me just in case of problems. Of course that would only work with the free dining.

With past free dining discounts, you would retain free dining for the whole stay if free dining was available on the day you checked in. So, in answer to your question, yes, you should get free dining for the whole stay, 8/8 to 8/18, if you book with a code ending 8/13; although, who knows if they'll change that in the future and make it more like the room only discount. Disclaimer: I haven't seen the current private PIN, so I don't know what the verbiage is on it.
