Does anyone know if they extend the dates that free dining if offered for after a while? We want to go in December 2010 but it is only being offered up until Novebmber. In 2009 it is being offered up until mid - December!

Have to say that I don't see them extending past 18th Nov next year but alot will depend on their projected footfall & advance bookings.I'm still totally shocked that Disney have extended Free dining past the end of Sept which says more for the world economy than Disney doing all of us a favour! Traditionally they have never had to extend it because Free Dining is normally the "carrot" to fill ocupancy in the quieter periods, neither of which are usually Oct - Food & wine & UK half term & Nov- the run in to Thanksgiving.
As the 2010 offer doesn't close until Dec 31st I would think that if they were going to open it up it wouldn't be until Free dining has been offered to the US around Apr/May & what the uptake is then.

Hi - I would keep watching. As they're offering free dining for next year at such an early date, I would say anything is possible. I read that room revenues this quarter are down over 30% on last year.

Aside from the economy, I think Disney will also be worried that more folk from the UK will stay in Universal hotels, because of the new Harry Potter park, so I'm betting they'll do whatever they can to persuade people. I'm expecting hotel discounts, in addition to free dining. Just going to keep watching - no panic to book just yet.

Since free dining was re-released this year and extended to Dec I would say it is possible - I think it depends on the economy and the exchange rate.

I am hoping they extend the offer, although I have still gone ahead and booked as I am too impatient!!:lmao:

I asked them on the telephone what I would have to do if they extended the free dining into Dec 2010 and they seemed to think all I would pay is £25 cancel/rebooking fee - so I decided to go for it!! - So I'm all booked in a MK view room at poly for 5 days (with PAID for dining!!:rotfl:) and 7 nights at the Beach Club - I can't wait - roll on Dec 2010!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
